前の方が何か間違った事を書いているようなので、一応書いておきますが、
ピッチの調節は普通に出来ます。
Liveは1の時から一貫して操作感が変わらないのが長所なので。。。
あとLiveはマスタリングの為のソフトウェアじゃありません。
DAWソフトです。

Ableton Liveは非常にシンプルな操作性とステージ上での即興性が魅力のソフトウェアです。
他のDAWソフトが安くなって来たので、少しLiveは割高になってしまいましたが、
この操作感は他のソフトにはありません。文章じゃ伝わりませんが…
私はこのソフト単体でも6万円出す価値はあると思います。

7の新機能はDrum Rackやスライス、サイドチェインエフェクト、スペアナの搭載、外部音源のフリーズ機能追加などありますが、
何れもも6までを使ってた人ならなんの躊躇もなく使えます。
最も大きい変化は音質の向上で、リバーブの音などに顕著に感じる事が出来ます。

私はLogicやReason、Cubaseも時々使いますが、Liveが無い音楽制作は正直考えられません。
そのくらい快適なソフトです。

MacProを購入したので本格的にDTMをはじめてみようと思っていろいろ
デモを試していたらLiveのあまりの使いやすさに驚きました。

ほとんど説明書を読まなくても直感的に操作でき難しいということがない。

Live6から使っていますが、DJ MIXなどを行う際にBaetportなどで購入したMP3を
インポートして使用する際、Re-PitchでBPMを調節することが多いのですが、
Live 6では音の歪みがひどく決してキレイな音ではありませんでした。
でもLive 7では改善されていて納得できる音質に改善されていました。
(これがLive 7にして一番うれしかったことです。)

こんなに自分の要求に応えてくれるソフトはいままでになかったです。
Live 7で十分満足ですが8ではどんな新機能が搭載されるのか今から楽しみです。

７になって、ドラムキットのセット数は増えたが、個々のサウンドへの編集でピッチ調整がなくなった。どうして、機能を削るのか理解できない。
個人的には、ドラムキットの編集が豊富な6から買っておいてよかった。それでもいずれにせよ、liveだけでの録音からマスタリングでは思い通りに行かないように思える。ドラムキットをMPC２０００で鳴らして、パラでマスタリングソフトでの音圧調整を行ったほうがよいのかなあぁ、、ただ、毎回別トラックでの録音なので、BPMにずれが出てくるように思える。いずれにせよ、ドラムのセット数であれば７がよいが、ピッチ調整するなら、６で2セット組んだほうがいいかもね。
