超が5つ付く見知られた名盤。

ですが、

性格的には結局のところ普遍的ポップソング集であり、実験性やなにくそ精神では2ndのほうがざっと百倍くらいぶっ飛んでます。

やれビートジェネレーションだ、現代のブルース軽視の新しいロックたちの礎だ、なんだかんだといろいろとあるでしょうが、
後世にまでそういう「背景」的なものが永遠に有効なんでしょうかね?特にこのロックというフォーマットにおいて。

最終的には、曲と言葉の力が、最もアルバムの強度を語るのではないでしょうか。
そういう意味において初めて、やはり僕はこれを永遠のマスターピースと認めざるを得ません。
