過度のヘロインとアル中であったクラプトンの実質的な復活盤といえる。これ以前に発表された「レインボー・シアター」での「レイラ」のヘロヘロぶりはまあそれはそれで面白みはあったが、フアンとしてはやっぱりビシッと決めたクラプトンを聞きたいのである。
レゲブームの先駆となった「アィ　シャット　ザ　シェリフ」を筆頭に「レット　イット　グロウ」などの佳曲も多い。何か大きな重荷を肩からおろしたてゆったりと落ち着いたクラプトンが楽しめる。ジャケットも秀逸。近年２枚組のスペシャルエディションが出たが、やはり「４６１・・・」はオリジナル盤が一番楽しめる。各レコード会社さん。いくらＣＤが売れないからといって、過去の名盤をヘタに弄るのはやめましよう。本来の魅力が薄れるだけです。
