昨年末から話題のSHM-CD、HQ-CDですが、考えずに購入するのは危険です。かなり良いと、どのメーカーも謳っていますが、はっきり言って良くはありません。ほぼ全ての作品が“音楽的”に死にます。グルーブ感が無くなりつまらなくなるのです。音に変化があるから、気持ち的に“良くなった！”と感じてしまうだけですよ！！しかも高額ですし、意味無いです。特にHQ-CDは、ほぼ全てがボツ。音楽が上部だけ綺麗になりつまらなくなりますから。以前、試聴会があった際の感想でも、プロのエンジニア達もほぼ皆同感でした。これは悪口ではありません。もっとユーザーが色々と声を上げ、良い方向に持っていかなくては駄目だと思います。ただし、SONYだけは、技術的にも他社とは違うアプローチもあり、かなり良くなっているアルバムもありますから、期待は出来ると思っています。とにかく、音楽が本当に好きならお気を付け下さい。EU通常盤が上を行く事も多々ありますよ。

ユニバーサルとビクターの新開発技術、SHM‐CD。
高音質を謳ってますが、微妙です。このアルバムに関しては通常CDにくらべヴォーカルの伸びがよかったりしますが、SACDハイブリットのCD層の方が段違いにいい音です。
ですのでSACD再生機をお持ちでない方でもSACD盤を買った方が得です。
どちらも品薄で定価より高価な取り引きになりますが、SACD盤の方が安価で手に入るようです

クラプトンノーマルファンさんのご質問の件ですが、例の「ふぁー」という声は1990年発売の20周年リミックスバージョンですよ。2000年にも直輸入盤仕様で再リリースされたとか、ですので「ふぁー」の入っていないのがオリジナルです。
それにしてもSHM-CDでもあんまり音質向上していないみだいですね。個人的にALLMAN BROTHERSのFillmore Eastと並んで人生を変えてくれたレコードなので少しがっかりです。
