エリック・クラプトンが少しづつヴォーカルを取り入れ始めた頃が、クリーム時代です。
トップのストレンジ・ブルーは、まさにサイケ感のあるブルースです。サンシャイン・ラヴは
現在コンサートでは必ずと言っていいほど演奏しています。この頃のクラプトンはジミヘンを
意識してヘアースタイルも真似ています。ジャケットで確認できます。

アルバムの出来は本当に素晴らしいと思います。
この時代を考えれば実に途轍もないロックシーンを作り上げたと言っても過言ではないでしょう。

見事なトリオバンドです！

点数は音楽ではなく、「でかジャケ」に対して。
こういうデザインのジャケットならＬＰサイズで復刻するのもありか、と思い、試しに購入してみたのだが…。
特に印刷がきれいという訳でもない、拡大コピーのようなジャケに、これまた拡大コピーのような安っぽいインナー、雑誌付録ＣＤ-ＲＯＭのような安っぽいディスクの収納状況…どれを採っても、「この企画を考えた人自身は、このアルバムに何の愛着も無いらしい」と失望感しか覚えなかった。
ザ・フーやマーク・ボラン、ジェスロ・タル等々、日本製紙ジャケＣＤには、これまで仕様の再現に配慮したものが数多く発売されてきた。
それらに比して、「でかジャケ」なる企画自体、失敗だとしか思えない。

ＬＰジャケットは当時は立派なアートだった。紙も厚く、印刷も丁寧、特に日本製は、綺麗な印刷に配慮されたものが多かった（７０年代）今ならば、このような手抜きジャケットではなく、３０cm角の写真集をコロタイプ印刷して（無論、当時の色を再現して）発行した方がよっぽどましである。企画した人はＬＰで育った世代では無いのだろう。ヴェルヴェット・アンダーグラウンドの有名なバナナジャケは「アンディ・ウォーホール」の現代アートだった。それを充分理解して企画しなければ大失敗である。無念！「カラーレス・クリーム」と改題したい位。
