今更、この名盤についてのコメントはしません、シャインアライトのサントラ盤がSHM-CDという事で、初めてSHM-CDの存在を知り、購入して見ました、既にSACD盤は持っておりますので、その比較を書いてみようと思います。一言で言うなら、レコードの音質を更に向上させたのが、SACD、CDの音質を向上させたのが、SHM-CDではないでしょうか。
比較対象としては2曲目のLOVEinVAINが一番分かりやすいです。SACDで初めて聞いた時には、まさに目から鱗もので、キースが直ぐ目の前で弾いているような感覚になりました、これぞギブソンハミングバードの音、ラフでワイルド、低音部の質感のリアルさに驚愕しました。
さて同曲をSHM-CDで聞くと、まてよキースはマーティンD-45を使っていたのかと思わせるほど
クリアーで艶やかな音色です。また、各楽器のそれぞれの音が完全に聞き取れ、別物の曲にように感じます。
従って、どちらも一長一短あり、どちらを聞くのはリスナーの好みではないでしょうか？
ストーンズファン暦38年の私は、長年レコードの音に慣れてしまっているのでSACDのほうが好みです、ただしMONKEYManは圧倒的にSHM-CDのほうがすごいです。ご参考になればと思います。

　商品説明が不親切だが、このＣＤは通常のＣＤプレイヤーで聞ける高音質ＣＤ（ＳＨＭ−ＣＤ）である。詳しい説明はユニバーサルミュージックに任せるが、これまでの音色とは別次元のクオリティであることは間違いない。
　ＳＨＭ−ＣＤで最も鮮明な音はアコースティック楽器だ。特に3曲目の「カントリーホンク」のギターをつま弾く音、バイオリン、そしてクラクションの音にハッとさせられる。その臨場感は過去のＣＤの比ではなく、まるでその場にいて生演奏を聴いているかのように立体的である。部屋のステレオではもちろんのこと、カーオーディオでもはっきりと体感できる。ぜひお試しあれ！

Gimme shelterから始まるストーンズの名盤のひとつ！　いまだに歌い続けられる曲ばかり。やはりストーンズはライブが最高ですが、彼らのロックのルーツであるブルースのかおりがする。こんなアルバムを当時に発売した偉大さを感じます。
また、Let it bleed なんてタイトル当時では考えられません。個人的にはベガーズバンケットが一番だとは思いますが、このアルバムもグレートです。ロックのルーツここにありき！
