5.0 out of 5 stars 泥臭い、ストーンズの原点となった濃ゆ〜い傑作！, 2008/4/17
　このアルバムから60年代末〜70年代前半の｢Let It Bleed｣｢Sticky Fingers｣｢Exile on Main Street｣に連なる、ストーンズ黄金時代の幕開けを飾る傑作。アルバム未収録だが、｢Jumping Jack Flash｣｢Honky Tonk Woman｣といったシングル曲も含めて、神懸り的な作品を連発していた頃だね。
　ビートルズの“後追い”を断ち切り、自分達の原点を見つめ直した結果、どっぷりと黒人ルーツ音楽に浸かったかのような、ブルージーで泥臭い、ストーンズの原点となるようなアルバムが完成した。名曲（1）｢悪魔を憐れむ歌｣では、ドラッグで既にヘロヘロだった、ブライアンのスライドギターも聞ける。
　とにかく渋い、そして濃い！。ラストを飾る｢地の塩｣なんて、20歳代の若造の出す音じゃないよね（笑）。いったい、どれだけの人生経験を積んだんだろうか？。黒人音楽を完全に自分達の血肉に昇華させ、奏でる事に成功しているよね。後のわかりやすい“イッツ・オンリー・ロックンロール”とも一味違う、ともすれば初心者には敷居が高〜いアルバムだが、ストーンズの真髄に触れたければ、避けては通れない、いわゆる“最高傑作”候補のひとつだろう。

やはりアコースティック楽器の音が劇的に良くなっていると思います。
「悪魔を憐れむ歌」については、SACD盤の方が分があるように個人的には思いましたが
「ディア・ドクター」をはじめとするアコースティックギターメインの楽曲における音の粒立ち・低音域の迫力は素晴らしいです！
全曲でチャーリーのドラムとビルのベースが何とも気持ち良いですね。
SACD盤を持っている方にもお勧めできると思います。
・・・・勿論、ブライアンのスライドも・・・・

　「ベガーズ・バンケット」は前作「サタニック・マジェスティー」の反省を経て、よりブルージーに、よりアーシーに作られた傑作であることは、これまで何度も語られてきた。
　しかしこのＳＨＭ−ＣＤと比較して、今までのＣＤではサウンド面で再現できない音がたくさんあったことがわかる。特にアコースティック色の強い本作の場合、一つ一つの楽器の音がモコモコ感から解放されたように際立っている。アコースティック・ギターはもちろん、「悪魔を…」のパーカッション、2曲目のスライド、ベース、そしてピアノ、ハーモニカ…それぞれがきちんと主張し合っている。
　1曲目はまさに典型的、ギターソロ以外の音色も聞き物である。それから興奮の40分が続くのである。
