すでにTOYOTA bBのCMソングとしてもおなじみのChara移籍後6枚目となるシンル”TROPHY”。サウンドプロデューサーに蔦谷好位置を迎え、おもちゃ箱から零れ落ちたようなキュートなマーチングリズムに繊細なストリングスとピアノの旋律、そして鳴り響く鐘の音と、ドラマティックな展開に息を飲む贅沢なアレンジに仕上がりました。カップリングにはTHE BOOMの超名曲ラブソング”星のラブレター”を大胆カヴァー。ローリング・ストーンズのUNDER COVER OF THE NIGHT的なダンスな仕上がりです。必聴!!


アーティストについて

1991年、「Heaven」でデビュー。オリジナリティ溢れる楽曲に強烈な存在感の声が生み出す世界観で人気を得て、音楽だけにとどまらず、個性の強いキャラクターとファッションで人気を集め、ファッション誌やCFに多数登場している。1995年岩井俊二監督「PICNIC」にて映画初出演。1996年映画、同監督作品『スワロウテイル』に出演、劇中でVocalで参加したバンド『YEN TOWN BAND』が大ヒット!!翌年1997年リリースしたアルバム「Junior Sweet」は120万枚のセールスを記録した。常にエッジ感のある作家、アーティストとコラボレートし話題を呼んでいるアーティスト。
2006年にユニバーサルミュージックに移籍後、すでにシングル5枚、オリジナルフルアルバム1枚をリリースし、今作が移籍後6枚目のシングルとなる。

彼女の歌う世界は
少し淋しげな少年、という感じがします。
淋しげな瞳はいつも願いをたたえていて、
それがとても愛しくて。。

詩の世界は相変わらずで、
でもメロディーは少し前に比べると
どんどん聴きやすくキュートになっている気がします。
CMで使われることが多いからか、
耳に馴染みやすい、残りやすい雰囲気。

”キミがいないと　ボクがこわれちゃうな。。”
チャラの中の少年は繊細で、
だからこそメロディーは力強く優しいのかも。

オルタナな方向に傾倒しがちだった時期を経て、ユニバーサル移籍後は、わかりやすく聴きやすい雰囲気が、なんとも「Chara、元気☆」って思ってしまえた。
ポップとかいうとドロ臭いケド、聴きやすい!って大切なコト。
GIRLYさもCharaファンは求めずにはいられない訳だし。
前置きが長くなりましたが、今作は近年で言うと♪FANTASYみたいな雰囲気で、綺麗なメロディに綺麗な歌詞、可愛さと甘さと、切ない“キュン”感がたまらないなんともキュートな仕上がり。

またサウンドもたのしいくって、楽器一つ一つの音色がキュートに鳴り響く様は軽くパレードみたぃ♪♪

Charaを好きだと想えて来れたコトに、改めて嬉しがれるナンバーだと想えてる。

まずCMで耳に残って、
いつ発売されるか楽しみにしていました。
ポジティブで勢いのある曲です。
うねるように歌い上げるCharaのヴォーカルが耳に残ります。
聞いていて気分が高揚します。
Charaのキャラが思い切りはじけてます。

商品説明を読むと、
レコード会社を移籍したと。
FANTASYなど、
最近の曲が元気な理由もその辺りかって思いました。
移籍してよかったなあと・・・。
