UNISON SQUARE GARDEN Member: 斎藤宏介(Vo/Gt)birth 1985.06.25 田淵智也(Ba)birth 1985.04.26 鈴木貴雄(Dr)birth 1985.06.13 2004年7月、バンド結成。同年11月からライヴ活動をスタート。 透明感にあふれながらも個性的なトゲがある斎藤宏介のボーカルと、コンビネーション抜群なバンドアンサンブルが共鳴する、モダーンポップの新世界。そのパフォーマンスを観た誰しもが、ネクストジェネレーションのきらめきを感じることだろう。キャッチーなメロディーラインと、ワンダーな歌詞のセンス。そして、あくまでもポップなビジュアル。3人3様にシャープな存在感が、美しいトライアングルをステージでカタチづくる。 2nd mini album『流星前夜』 のレコーディングを完了。1st mini album『新世界ノート』 のリマスタリング盤と同時に、2008年1月16日に全国発売決定。それに先立って、12月13日下北沢CLUB Queにて初のワンマンライヴ開催が決定している。

1stが良かったので2ndも買いました。
一曲目には語りが入ったりして、また味のある仕上がりになってます。
相変わらずの綺麗な曲調でGOING UNDER GROUNDあたりが好きならハマるのではないでしょうか。
おすすめは、フルカラープログラム、MR.アンディ、流星行路あたり。

ロックとポップが共存したキャッチーな楽曲で、 多くの人に許容されるポテンシャルを感じます。

アルバム全体から受けるのは、まだ若い彼らの等身大の人生感覚。
「ああ、あの頃は毎日がキラキラ見えてたな」 と懐かしく感じてしまいます。

そんなキラキラ感を音と声でしっかり表現できているところが素晴らしいと思います。

等身大の彼らが、今後どう変化していくかも楽しみ。

　言葉の選び方が文学好きっぽい。「とても大切な嘘をついた」とか「三半規管」とか「存外に」とか。ギターの鳴らし方が、バンプ・オブ・チキンにちょっと似てる。少年っぽい声のVo.が、詩的な雰囲気に良く合っている。マッチョなロックの対極にある繊細さを持つ。
　だが、決しておとなしいのではない。前がかりになってつんのめりそうな勢いにあふれている。そして前向きさがキラキラと輝いている。いろんなことに傷つく前の純粋さに満ちている。これは演出なのか、天然なのか…。どちらにしても素晴らしい。
