メッセージ・フロム・サンセット・ライダース

数々のメンバーチェンジにより、グレン・フライ、バニー・レドン、ドン・フェルダー、ジョー・ウォルシュという4人のギタリストを擁したイーグルス。ハードな曲の中にもカントリー的なフレージングが頻繁に顔を出すのが彼等のギターサウンドの特徴だ。まず注目すべきはソロやオブリガートのフレーズが歌の旋律のようにメロディアスだという事。お勧めする練習方法は、ギターを弾く前にフレーズを一緒に歌ってみるのが良いだろう。ストロークに関しては、左手で全ての弦をミュートし空ピックのまま曲に合わせてリズムを刻んでみるのも良いと思う。そして何より彼等と同じフレーズを弾いている事を楽しんで欲しい。「豪快なアメリカンロックの代表であるイーグルス・サウンドは、実は緻密に計算されたギター・コンビネイションによって構築されている。」あなたのギター・サウンドがマイナスワン・トラックの中に溶け込む時に、きっとこう実感してもらえるだろう。

THE SUNSET RIDERSは、1980年代、ジャクソン・ブラウン、ニール・ヤング、イーグルスなどウエストコースト系アメリカンロックを演奏していたバンド-小田トモヒデ&TheLateShowを前身にして、現在個々にレコーディング、アーティストサポートなどの活動をするなか、THE SUNSET RIDERSとしては全員がリードヴォーカルをとりコーラスをするスタイルでレコーディング、ライブなどで活動中。

2.0 out of 5 stars 楽譜TAB譜は付いていません・ある程度ギターが弾ける人向けです, 2008/6/8
このCDは、イーグルスの曲が一応弾けて、なおかつ誰がどのパートを弾いているのかといった予備知識がないと全然使い物にならないのではないでしょうか（特にホテルカリフォルニア）。イーグルスのライブDVDなどで事前チェックが必要かと思います。またイーグルスにはギタリストが３名いるわけで、Glenn Freyのパートは無視されています。（最近のホテルカリフォルニアのライブではFreyはアコギの12弦弾いてましたね）このCDのホテルカリフォルニアには、イーグルスライブCDのコピーが収録されていて（ライブ盤CDを用意する必要あり・・オリジナルと微妙に弾き方を変えています）、ライブバージョンの練習と割り切れば、使えるかと思います。ボーカルは全然ダメです。
現時点である程度曲を弾けて、ライブ用に自宅で練習するレベルのギタリスト向きです。手取り足取り一から教えて貰える、と期待して買うと失敗した！ということになるかと思います。あるいは別途楽譜の用意が必要となります。
出来ればDVD版で、パートごとに懇切丁寧な解説盤のようなシリーズで、イーグルスのギターアンサンブルを詳解してくれるような企画バージョンあるといいですね。そういうのはどっかから出ませんかね（希望します）。
まあそれなりに練習出来るので☆２つ

リッスン&プレイ!”第1弾がギタースコア付きで、教則CDとして為にったので、全シリーズ購入しましたが。今回の第2弾はどうしてギタースコア付きで無いのでしょうか？教則CDのつもりで買った自分自身が悪いのか？しかし発売元が多くの教則本やCD＆DVDを出版してるところなので
理由はあるにしろ、ギタースコア無しとは手抜きとしか言いようがないです。これに連動して
教則本を発売してるのでしょうか？
