ヤングガンガン誌で連載の人気コミックを原作に繰り広げられる熱血とギャグの青春系剣道アニメ・シリーズのDVD第4弾。第9話「コジローと運命の分岐点」前回に続き、ファンシーショップでアルバイト中のタマちゃん（広橋涼）をはじめ、剣道部員たちのほのぼのとした日常をよそに、虎侍先生（小西克幸）はスーパーでババア（くじら）と熾烈なバトル（？）を展開。しかし、そのせいで剣道部（いや正確には先生のみ）の運命は大きく変わる……。第10話「宮崎都の憂鬱と初大会」ミヤミヤ（桑島法子）に会いに来た謎の少女・礼美（中原麻衣）。それを知って動揺するミヤミヤの真意は第11話「アニメーションとドリーム」で明かされるが、そのとばっちりを受けてしまうのは彼氏のダンくん（石田彰）ではなく勇次（阪口大助）なのであった。一方、5人目の女子部員を求めてサヤ（児島幸子）とキリノ（豊口めぐみ）は経験者の1年生・東聡莉（佐藤利奈）を勧誘しようとするが……。それにしても、このサブタイトルの意味は？（増當竜也）

5.0 out of 5 stars オーディオコメンタリーが聞きどころ, 2008/5/8
四本目は第9話「コジローと運命の分岐点」、第10話「宮崎都の憂鬱と初大会」、
第11話「アニメーションとドリーム」の三話を収録。
ストーリー的には全体の折り返し地点に当たることもあり、やや中だるみ感の
ある展開であるが、桑島法子さんをはじめとした、芸達者な声優陣の遊び心と
色使いのきれいな映像などはバンブーらしくもあり破綻はない。
ＤＶＤで楽しいのは映像特典の「ふぁんふ〜ふふぇ〜ふぉ」特別編と、毎巻
つくオーディオコメンタリーのうち第11話の制作スタッフ編である。
11話を見た方なら、アニメおたくのたまちゃんが谷口悟朗監督について熱く
語るシーンがなぜ実名でそこまでやるのか？！と不思議に感じたと思うが、
コメンタリーにはご本人が出演してスタッフ（斉藤監督と脚本の倉田さん）
と語り合いながら、そのあたりの事情をいろいろ話してくれる。
特にタイトルの「アニメーションとドリーム」の理由については面白かった。
内容で星４つ、特典に星ひとつで合せて一本、でしょうか。

今巻はタマちゃんのバイトの続きに始まり、大会出場、
５人目の戦士の名前がわかるなど、１話１話別々の話になっています。
虎侍はスーパーでおばさんとトラブルを起こしてしまい、解雇の危機に陥ったり、
ミヤミヤに付きまとうレイミの存在が出てきたりと、
さらなるクセ者の登場が目立っていたように思います。

また、このアニメを観ていて、
声優の皆さん、かなりアドリブとか入ってるんじゃないのかというくらい、
テンションが高いので笑わせてもらってます。
この後に仲間に加わることになる東聡莉のおバカっぷりにも期待です。
