ヤングガンガン誌で連載の人気コミックを原作に繰り広げられる熱血とギャグの青春系剣道アニメ・シリーズのDVD第2弾。第3話「ブラックとブルー」ようやく新入部員が加わった室江高校剣道部。この回では防具の購入やら、顧問コジロー（小西克幸）の過去やら爆笑エピソードを連ねつつ、“ミヤミヤ”こと都（桑島法子）のブラック化をユーレイ部員“サヤ”こと鞘子（小島幸子）が巧まずして制止。第4話「ピンクとブルー」ではこの二人が道場で再会。練習の厳しさも手伝い、剣道の熱が冷めかけるミヤミヤを奮い立たせたものとは!?　第5話「室江高と町戸高」そもそもはコジローと石橋（稲田徹）、互いの顧問同士の因縁から決まった練習試合の日がやってきた。しかし室江高は選手が一人足りず、町戸高の選手たちもかなりの個性派揃いで、しかも時間になっても集合場所に現れない!?　どの回もほのぼのギャグが連打されていく中、剣道シーンの気合の入った描写など、実はかなり本格的な作り。そして練習試合の幕は切って落とされた！（増當竜也）

１月しったばかりなのです。
すんごく惜しいことした気分
その分DVDでうめなければ
ということで買います。
でも高いよ本当にできれは
６０００円代だったらよかったのに
少しきついです。

最初はノーマークの作品でしたが本放送見てハマってしまいました
キャラが可愛い＆まったりとした日常描写＆時々真面目に剣道という感じです
是非一度見てみて下さい！

ブラックが隠れブラックなままだったら、こんなに面白い作品にはならなかった。

性格や挙動に、何かと問題があるキャラクターたちばかりが出てきます。
なのに好感が持てるのはなぜか？
そんな欠点を互いに知りつつも、一緒に剣道やろうよ、という前向きな思考で信頼関係を育んでいるからです。部活が同じじゃなかったら、彼女らは友達にすらなっていなかったでしょうね。

あとＯＰ・ＥＤ曲が良いです。
