1984年に発売されたライヴアルバム。
一部の音源はCD化されていましたが、全曲そして
正式タイトルとしてCDになるのは今回が初めてで、
復刻タイトルの中でも最大の目玉と言えるでしょう。

BOXでCD化された一部の曲でピッチがおかしい、という問題も
今回は調整されているようです。ボーナストラックも2曲追加との事。

ライヴがなかなか実現しない昨今、このアルバムを聴きながら気長に待ちましょう。

初CD化だそうです。
八神純子に関しては「遅れてきた青年」なので、もちろんLPも持っていなかったし、そもそも、こういうタイトルがあること自体、うかつにも今回初めて知りました。
まあ、いわゆるライブによるベスト版みたいな内容ですが、演奏もそれほど悪くはないし（いかにも８０年代のジャパニーズ・フュージョンって感じは否めませんが...）彼女の声も、ライブなのによく出ている。やはり、地力のあるアーティストだったんですね...
個人的には、マイ・フェイバリット・ソングスである「思い出は美しすぎて」「みずいろの雨」「ポーラー・スター」「想い出のスクリーン」「夜間飛行」「パープルタウン」なんかが怒濤のように続く２枚目が好きです。
それから、ボーナスが２曲。といっても、同じ時期の音源ではなく--
1.「窓辺」78/10/1　ポプコン
2.「ANOTHER DAYM ANOTHER ME」80/11/15　世界歌謡祭
とのことです。
もともと４カ所の公演からライブ音源が録られている訳で、まだまだ眠っているテイクがあるような気もしますが、マスターテープを破棄しちゃったのかな...？
このCDも、今回紙ジャケで再発になった他のタイトル同様、薄い紙で造られているんですが、初CD化とボーナス収録を評価して、マイナス☆は無しで、満点とします。

何だか、何年待っていただろう。
気づいたら、夢中になって聞いていた年は、はるか昔に過ぎて、
実際に歌っていたときの、彼女の年齢も追い越して、
気がついたら、大きく年齢を帯びていた自分に、
とても素敵なプレゼントが届いたような気がした。
八神純子の声って、高い・・・ほんと高い。
でも、ただ高いだけじゃなくて、質の良いアリアを聞くような、
張りがありながらも、上品な高さを感じるような高さ。
その声で、いろいろな歌を、今まで歌い上げてきたわけだが、
このCDは、その彼女の「ライブ」を集めたCDである。
かつて学生時代、このLPを買ったとき、それこそ夢中で、
聴いていたことを、今でも覚えている。
それまでだって、いろいろな歌手の曲を耳にしてきた。
そして、良い歌に感動できた。その喜びは今でも覚えている。
しかし、彼女の歌の場合は、歌の良さや詩の深さはもちろん、
発声の良さと、確かなトレーニングを積んだ豊かな表現力が、
歌の良さを最高潮に引きだし、聴いている立場の人間を、
心地よい世界に、連れて行ってくれる。
普通、ライブというと、好きなアーチストだから、
当然と言えば当然だが、その場の雰囲気や、
一般のレコーディングでは、味わえないアーチストの感じなど、
そういうものを、肌や耳で感じるためのアルバムであるが、
彼女の場合は、歌の良さも表現力も、そして歌のうまさも、
どれも味わえる、二重にも三重にもうれしいアルバムである。
正直、演奏のあたりを指摘すると「当時の流行り」を、
大きく感じる部分もあるのだが、それをカバーできるだけの、
ボーカルの美しさと確かな表現力がある。
でも、何年待っていただろう・・・やっと待っていたアルバムが、
ここに登場したという感じで、とてもうれしい。
