【つねに絶好調、ズートの音質極上1978年、アイルランドでのライブ音源】
独Nagel Heyerのオーナー・プロデューサーだったハンス・ナゲルヘイヤー(1941-2007)に捧げられた未発表ライブ音源が3枚登場、そのうち最大の目玉がこの作品です。アイルランドの首都ダブリンにおける「キルケニー・アート・フェスティバル」での実況録音。正規の録音らしく音質も極上です。リズム・セクションの3人はアイルランド人。ピアノはケニー・ドリューのようなタッチでなかなかの名手です。正確な録音日は不明ですが、毎年8月に行われているフェスティバルらしく、これも夏の時期の収録でしょう。ズートは(1)(3)の3曲のみソプラノで、あとはテナー・サックス。バラードでの渋い味わいと歌心、アップテンポの曲でみせる抜群のスイング感。ズートの魅力がぎっしり詰まった、素晴らしいライブ盤です。

5.0 out of 5 stars 音質抜群血管ブチキレ未発表ライヴ！, 2008/1/25
ズートシムズが1978年にアイルランドのダブリンを訪れた時に収録されたライヴKilkennyArtsFestivalというダブリンでは毎年恒例のコンサートだそうでズートは地元のジャズミュージシャンを従えてワンホーンでプレイまず何と言っても素晴らしいのがその音質勿論ステレオ若干のテープ摩滅が数箇所特に#1で認められるがズートのサックスをクリアに捉えて臨場感抜群おそらく数あるズートのライヴ中でもその音質は最上位に来るのではないかと思われるズートの演奏も申し分ない当時ズートはパブロの諸作でどちらかと言うと枯れた味わいをサックスで表現するようになり円熟の域に達しているがこのライヴでは全く違った一面を魅せるまだまだ若い者には負けんとばかりにスウィングするズートはフルトーンでサックスを鳴らす熱気は名作ライヴクッキンに勝るとも劣らないあるいはZootAtEaseのライヴ版とでも呼ぶべき内容そしてこれに応えるリズム隊の反応も抜群ズートがエリントンナンバーを間違えて演奏を中断し観客の失笑を誘うのはご愛嬌。
