間違いなく最高のライブ盤です。

神戸と横浜のたった２回のスペシャルなＧＩＧのいい方をチョイスし更に「ＧＩＶＥ　ＩＴ　ＴＯ　ＭＥ」「16」「ＴＥＥＮＡＧＥ　ＥＭＯＴＩＯＮ」など中期のＧＩＧではお馴染みのナンバーなどが追加され当時のセットリストを再現してます。

１st２ndの曲はオリジナルで聞くよりライブアレンジで聞くほうが何倍も良く感じるはずです。

しかし

何年か前に出た当時のＶＨＳ４本のセットリストをそのままパッケージした２枚組ＣＤ「ＣＡＳＥ　ＯＦ　BOφWY」を買った人間からしてみれば
「あの時でも出せたんじゃない？」と正直複雑でもあります。

「コンプリート」や「完全版」など平然とリリースされる音楽界ですが

その裏には「不完全版」と位置づけされる過去があり

当時はそれに胸躍らせていたリスナーの過去もある事を忘れてほしくないものです。

「アルバム」という言葉にはアーティストの輝かしい過去の記録という他に

そのアルバムと共にするファン一人一人の記録という意味もあるのですから。

何年か前にCASE OF BOOWYのCD出たじゃん。2枚組のやつ。
あれ買った自分としてはこんなの後から出されてもいらねー。
つーか買えない。
結構同じ想いの人いない?

確かに、GIGS CASE OF BOФWYの再編物ですが、聞いてない未発表曲が入ってれば、その曲の為に私は買います。（”GIGS”BOXと一緒に予約しました。）コレクションとしてではなく、ファンとして欲しいと思いました。初期から中期、後期の11曲追加、みんな好きな曲です。（当たり前ですが...。）未発表曲が収録された事で、アルバムの印象も、多少変わるんじゃないかな、と思います。不満としては、やはり、最初から早く出せよ、と言う思いも強いです。あと、ディスクの収録のされ方が変です。3枚組で、1枚目が17曲、2枚目が18曲、3枚目が4曲だけって、バランス悪いでしょ...。EMIさんの商売方法を、いまさら言っても...。多分、懲りないでしょうから...。
