今から約40年も前に行われたアポロ計画に携わっていた元宇宙飛行士達の回
想ならびに当時の実録映像で構成されたドキュメンタリーフィルムです。

これは月へ行った極めて限られた人間である10人の元宇宙飛行士達が当時を
振り返り、その時何を考え何を想っていたのか、そしてその体験を通して何
を得たのかを、彼らの視点から語ったアポロ計画の回顧録とでも言うべきも
のだと思います。

尚、登場する宇宙飛行士達は:
Michael Collins, Edwin E. Aldrin (AP.11)
Alan L. Bean (AP.12)
James A. Lovell (AP.8, AP.13)
Edgar D. Mitchell (AP.14)
David R. Scott (AP.15)
John W. Young, Charles M. Duke (AP.16)

となっております。

輸入版なので英語音声のみですが、英語字幕（スペイン語字幕も）が付いて
いるので、聞き取りが苦手な人でも内容を理解するにはそれ程困難はないと
思います。

アポロマニアの方には勿論ですが、それ以外の方にも秀作ドキュメンタリー
の１本として一度ご覧になられることをお勧め致します。

飛行機の機内映画でみました。アメリカらしいストーリー性のドキュメンタリーですが、月探索の時代が終わった今見るとアポロ計画の意気込みがより一層伝わります。ロシアに負けるなという名目ではあったのでしょうが、探険家としての元宇宙飛行士が当時の心境を語ってくれます。

国内では「ザ・ムーン」の邦題で上映されている映画の輸入DVD。

ジャケットの美しさとは異なり、映画本編の映像は古いこともあり非常に荒い。
アポロ計画の全容をとらえた内容だが、テレビの特番のようでもあり、映画館で観るべきかは甚だ疑問。

DVD程度がお薦めだが、1回観れば十分なので、購入する必要も感じない。
古くても貴重な映像なので、デジタル技術を使ってレストアして欲しいところだが、それだけの予算を出す会社もないだろう。
