   現在お使いのアナログテレビ・アナログビデオが、地デジ対応に早がわり! アンテナ出力(RF出力)端子を備えているため、アナログ放送信号はスルーで送り出すことができ、VTR接続などにも便利です。ビデオ出力・S2出力に加え、高品質な画像が楽しめるD1~D4対応端子・HDMI端子と豊富な出力端子を装備。一般的なHDMI端子を装備したテレビに加え、HDCP対応PCモニターとの接続も可能です（注意1）。
   本体はB5ノートサイズ以下で、質量もわずか750g（本体のみ）のコンパクト&軽量サイズ。小型なのに電源アダプタは必要なく、ACコンセントにつなぐだけで電源OK! 付属のリモコンで主要メーカーのテレビ操作もできます。

従来のアナログ放送しか見れないTVで地デジ放送を見るためのもので
地デジ放送の特徴である
データ放送、双方向サービス、ＥＰＧ（電子番組表）には対応していません。
あたりまえといえばあたりまえか･･･
いま持ってるＴＶから地デジ対応のＴＶに買い換えるまでのツナギにはいいかもしれません

4.0 out of 5 stars ネックはチャンネル切り替えの遅さ, 2008/7/27
地デジに完全切り替えになった後も、アナログTVとセットで活用出来るので購入してみました。このチューナー本体に番組予約が出来るので、接続したアナログチューナーのHDDレコーダーにLine入力で接続して活用しています。この方法なら、地デジに完全以降後もアナログチューナーHDDレコーダーが無駄にならずにすみます。
ネックはチャンネルの切り替えが遅い事です。デジタルの宿命かもしれませんが、アナログの感覚でパッパッパと切り替わらないので、ちょっとイライラします。放送電波を使ったファームウェアのアップデートが可能で、購入後に一度アップデートで機能拡張されました。こういうのは良いですね。

私はこのDIR510がHDMI端子やアンテナ出力(RF出力)端子など豊富な端子を持っているので購入しました。
端子がいろいろ用意されていることは、今までのアナログの資産を生かす上ではとてもありがたい点だと思います。
ワイド液晶の２２インチの廉価品テレビで地上波ハイビジョンデジタル放送を楽しんでいます。我が家には十分です。
