　悪くはないのですが…、という前提でお読み下さい。

　サブタイトルの通り、いかにも宅録といった感じの曲を年代ごとにピックアップ
したもので、コレクターズアイテムに近いような内容です。総じて値段に見合うほど
の作品ではありません（特に前半）。
　初期の曲っぽい“Longtime Sunshine”、グリーンアルバム以降の曲っぽい“I
Was Made for You”などいくつかの曲は、比較的「らしい」メロで聞かせてくれま
すがここら辺が本作のピークで、この手の曲もごく一部です。一時期、録音した新
曲をRiversが公式HPに片っ端からアップしていましたが、その頃のことを思い出し
ました。weezerやRiversにハマっていて、demoっぽい音に抵抗がない人はどうぞ。

内容面では賛否両論の様だ。

まぁ、アルバムタイトルからしてデモ音源の集まりであるのは感じ取れるとは思うが、weezerとしては以前に大量のデモ音源をMP3で無料配布していたりした経緯があるので、デモ的なものが有料である事に価値を見いだせるかどうかは個々人の考え次第であろう。

僕個人としてはアルバムとしての価値があるかどうかは微妙だと思ってはいるが、個々で見た場合にはデモで眠らせておくにはもったいないと感じる曲が少なくない。

特に初期のweezerが好きな人であればたまらない曲群ではないだろうか？

ただ、weezerの音楽にはじめて触れる人に聴かせる場合にはこれを選ばない方がいいかもとは思いますがw

重厚なコーラス「Ooh」を経て、シリアスなメロディの「The World We Love So Much」へ。
モロに初期のweezerを連想させる「Lemonade」
Ice Cubeのカヴァー「The Bomb」
「Buddy Holly」の別テイクはニンマリしながら聴く感じ。
マイナーな調子のラララが切なく響く「Chess」
アルバム内で1、2を争う名曲「Longtime Sunshine」
おそらくBeverly Hillsの原型だと思われる「Blast Off!」
繋ぎ的な存在の「Who You Callin' Bitch?」
ヘロヘロ感が逆によい「Wanda (You're My Only Love)」
手作り感が満載な「Dude We're Finally Landing」
独特の切ない雰囲気が心に響く「Superfriend」
ギター一本とコーラスと手拍子というシンプルな構成の「Lover In the Snow」
まったりした雰囲気の「Crazy One」
ダークな曲調の「This Is The Way」
Dionのカヴァー「Little Diane」
アルバムのラストを飾るに相応しい名曲「I Was Made for You」

だましサイトの出現で業界関係者が唖然としたウィーザーだが、正規の6作目の前にリヴァースの16年のキャリアを総括するようなデモ音源集が登場。どの曲も興味深いが、1stと2ndの間に出るはずだった幻のアルバムからの5曲は無視できない。本人による解説を含め、味わい深い内容。
