オリジナル・アルバムをレビューする場に出遅れた（笑）のだが、そこに並ぶコメントが大筋でシビアな内容だったのには同感だった。
それがライブになるというので、“渋谷スタジアム”まで聴きに行った。さすがにナマ演奏は迫力があった。
さらにそれがＣＤになるという。ライブの熱気が再現されるというので、期待していた。

が・・・。

う〜ん、やっぱりダメだ。
満員の聴衆があれだけ力強くメガホンを打ち鳴らし、歓声を上げて盛り上げていたのに、その迫力や熱気を再現しているとは、どうしても言えない。
ナマ演奏の立体感のようなものに酔い痴れ過ぎたのだろうか、平板で奥行きなく聴こえるサウンドに拍子抜け。“アルプススタンド”の応援も十分拾えているとは言い難い。
収録に使ったマイクの指向特性の選択や、音声トラック編集の際のバランスチェック、などを決定的にミスチョイスしているのでは、と感じてしまう。

ライブを知らないひとがどう感じるかはわからないが、なまじ聴いて知ってしまっているだけに、残念としか言いようがない。
オリジナルを含め、「プロの高度な技術と高価な楽器により、理想的な指揮統制の下で実行された、譜面に忠実な演奏のお手本のひとつ」くらいに割り切れれば、まだ救いがあろう。

・・・と言って、炎天下の現地での生録は、これはこれでまたいろいろな法的制約などがあるしなー。

　第1作が「とてもヒッティングマーチとは言えないアレンジ」の楽曲を多数収録していて大変がっかりしたので、早くも出された第2作に大きな期待を込めて購入しましたが、期待はずれでした。
　「実況録音版!」と銘打ってコンサートでの演奏を収録していますが、コンサート向けの編曲をしたために、ヒッティングマーチとしての「あり得ない度」が急上昇してしまっています。「ライブ録音すれば臨場感が出る」という安直な発想の元に作られたためか、甲子園とはほど遠いものになっています。「コンサートでの演奏」と「応援のための演奏」は全く別物であるということがこのCDの制作者には分からないのでしょうか？「こんなアレンジの曲を球場で流して選手に力が入ると思っているのか？いっぺんこのCD聞きながら打席に立ってみろ!」と言いたくなりました。
　「ダッシュKEIO」のアレンジが修正・改善されたましたが、他は前作で不評だった「あり得ないアレンジ」を「絶対にあり得ないアレンジ」に変えてしまったのが腹立たしくて仕方ありません。このCDには1個の星すらつける価値はないと思いますが、システム上最低でも1つ付けなければならないので、仕方なく「星1つ」にします。

たぶん、ブラバン甲子園が「迫力がない」などと散々な評だったので、実況録音で声援を入れたんだろう。

でも、どんなに声援を入れても、この音じゃ盛り上がらないんだよね。

高校野球の応援の迫力ある演奏と違って、このＣＤに録音されているのは、魂のこもっていないコンサートのためのアレンジされた楽曲。

声を入れれば迫力がでると考えている時点でアウト。

ＣＤを作る方向性が違うんだよなあ。
制作者は、一度、生の甲子園か予選を体験するべきだ。
