もはやNujabes氏、Ino Hidefumi氏などの影響により確立されたメロディーが美しいジャジーなテイストを盛り込んだJazzy Hip Hop〜Nu Jazzなるジャンル。最近ではクラブプレイのみならずCafe、セレクトショップ、ホテルのロビー、テレビ番組のBGMとしてよく耳することも多くなりました。ダンスミュージックという括りでありながらもはや久石譲、坂本龍一のファン層まで巻き込んでのジャンルとして確立してきています。
最近では特に普段あまりダンスミュージックを聴かない男女を中心にファン層が広まりつつあります。大手SNSサイトでもこのラインのジャンルを好む人たちが集まるコミュニティーも5万人近くおり盛り上がりを見せていますがなぜかそのラインのセレクトCDは日本ではあまり発売されていません。今作のセレクトCDはその層にど真ん中のCDとなることは確実です!

NUJABESやNOMAKあたりが好きな方はツボだと思います。
もしくはNUJABESの伝説のMIXTAPEあたりの選曲が好きなら…買いで。
個人的に、今一番はまってるＣＤです。
朝起きたら聴いて、通勤でも聴いて、寝る前にまた聴いて…。
やばいぐらいはまってます。話題になりそうなCDだと思いました！

美メロに泣けますよ！

1曲めのAyurから美麗なピアノのメロディに泣かされる…。美しい旋律です。
アナログでも大人気の曲ですので有名ですね。
5曲目はYusef Lateef/Love Theme From Spartacusをカバーした
絶品ナンバー。原曲が良いので悪いわけが無いです。ピアノが切ない曲です。
アナログがオークションで万越えしてるラストのナンバー。
入手困難な音源をCDで、しかもいい音質で聞けるのですから素晴らしい。
個人的にはPeppermillが好きです。この人のEP「Milled Ironical Notes」は
かなり素晴らしい出来です。そっちもお勧めです。

Jazzy Hip Hopは“それほど詳しくないけど、好き”
なジャンルです。
くつろぎたいときのルームミュージックとして、
愛聴盤がいくつかあります。
このアルバムは最近よくかける１枚です。

ピアノが印象に残る曲が多く、
寝るときの音楽として最適です。

リズムの高音がよく効いており、
「もうちょっと丸い音だと、ばっちりタイプなのになぁ」
という感想です。
