Autosock（オートソック）は、タイヤにかぶせるだけのカンタン装着が魅力の滑り止めアクセサリーパーツで、従来のタイヤチェーンとは全く異なるシンジャンルの商品。ヨーロッパ・ノルウェーで生まれた自動車用の緊急用タイヤ滑り止め装置として、タイヤチェーンに代わり各自動車メーカーなどの純正オプション品として、装備されはじめている。
ジャンルは非金属タイヤチェーンだが、その装着方法はきわめて簡単で、ただタイヤにかぶせるだけ。タイヤカバー同様のカンタン装着・(脱着)を実現している。また、折り畳んで収納するととてもコンパクトになり、積みっぱなしでも苦にならない。重量も約780gととても軽く出来ている。

●安全に使用するための注意
※取付取り外しの際には、指定のタイヤチェーン着脱場や平坦で安全な場所で行うこと。
※適合サイズ以外での装着しての走行は、製品の脱落や早期破損の原因となるため、必ずタイヤサイズに適合した製品サイズを使用すること。
※チェーン規制時には、現場の係官の指示に従うこと。
※Autosockオートソックは長距離走行には向いていません。緊急時の滑りやすい路面からの脱出・安全な場所までの帰路を目的として開発された商品のため、長距離走行には向いていない。凍結路面や積雪路面を長距離走行する場合には、スタッドレスタイヤまたは凍結路面・積雪路面専用の器具を利用すること。

今日、横浜も大雪で初使用した感想です。
装着は、非常に簡単で、本当に1-2分程度で誰でもできます。タイヤにかぶせて、ちょっと前進し、逆側をかぶせるだけ。力もほとんどいりません。
しかし、坂道は全然登れず、タイヤはすぐ空転。空転すると、結構、すぐタイヤから外れていまい、本当に応急用という感じです。数km走っただけでもう穴が開きそうな状況です。
あまり期待せず、緊急用としての割りきりが必要と思います。

今回雪の中をどうしても出かけなくてはならず使用しました。急に出る事になり余裕が無かったのですが、マニュアルを見なくても簡単に装着でき、ほんの数分で取り付けが出来ました（車を前後に数回動かしましたが）。距離にして10キロ程度しか走りませんでしたが、新雪から幹線道路のわだちが半分解けたシャーベット状のところまで危なげなく進行することができました。しかも、家の周りにはかなりの急坂（8%程度）があり、不安だったのですが、スリップするもののアクセルを徐々に戻して走ると回復して登りきることが出来ました。帰宅後確認してみるとセルフセンタリングも効いて中心に付いており、損傷などもありませんでした。かなりジャストフィット（195/60R15でY-41）してましたので濡れていた事もあり、外すのはややてこずりました。

脱着が大変というレビューを見て、とても不安に思いながらダメもとで購入しました。
ところが、実際に使ってみたところ脱着はとても簡単でした。
時間は人によって変わると思いますが、自分は脱着とも５〜１０分でできました。
ちなみに男性です。

装着時、ゴム部分を引っ張ってタイヤにかぶせるのに多少とまどいましたが
特に無理な感じはありませんでした。
取り外す時は、タイヤの裏にあるゴム部分を多少無理矢理引きはがす感じですが
一部分でも剥がせれば後は簡単にはずせます。

自分が使った事あるのはワンタッチ式の金属チェーンで、
樹脂製のチェーンも乗車したことありますが
チェーンに比べれば静かで、振動はほとんどありませんでした。

ただ、積雪情報があったので使用したのですが
実際には乾燥路だったため雪に対する性能はわかりませんでした。

乾燥路で使ったためかもしれませんが、30km走っただけでひとつ穴が開きました。
耐久性はあまりなさそうです。
