札幌を拠点に活動するKuniyukiこと高橋クニユキ。 彼の音楽は、国境を問わず常に独特の世界観を持ち、世界各国のプロデューサー、DJから高い評価を得ている。Joe Claussell主宰[Spiritual Life]傘下の[Natural Resource]から自身のホームタウンであり、札幌の名クラブをトリビュートした曲「Precious Hall」をリリース、Dego aka 4 Heroの2000BLACKのコンピ参加、Ananda Projectの名曲「Cascade of Colour」のリミックス・リリースなどジャンルレスな音楽形態を持ちながら、日々新しい音楽の形をクリエイトしている。[Mule Musiq]よりKuniyuki名義でのニューシングル「Earth Beats」をリリースし、FrancoisK.、Larry Heard、Ian O'brien、Joe Claussell等、数多くのビッグネームDJからプレイされ、圧倒的な支持を得た。2006年には今までの集大成とも言える待望の1stアルバム「We Are Together」をリリースし、全国ツアー、そしてジョー・クラウゼルのパーティーにてNYでのライブを実現し、ライブ・パフォーマンスとしては常に真の音楽を見つめたディープなライブも繰り広げる。 今回リリースされるセカンドアルバムはファーストアルバムリリース後に行った無数のライヴや国内外DJ/クリエーターとの幅広い交友から生み出された作品である。アルバム収録作品の中でも注目を集めるであろう美しいギターの音色が印象的なスピリチュアル・ディープハウスチューン「Guitar Song」やドイツ!K7の新世代ディープハウスアーティストのブライテストホープ、ヘンリク・シュワルツとのセッションで生まれた「The Session」を始めイアン・オブライアン(PEACEFROG)やアレックス・フロム・トウキョウ(INNERVISIONS)、ダブルフェイマスの坂口修一朗等の参加も話題を集めるだろう。圧倒的なクオリティーとアップデートされながらもタイムレスなクラシック然としたこの作品はまるで21世紀のソウルIIソウル「KEEP ON MOVIN'」とでも形容したくなる普遍的な魅力に溢れている。今回ヴォーカルチューンの比重も増し作品の幅を広げたニューアルバムの作品は10月東京YELLOWで行われたフランソワ・ケヴォーキアン主宰の「DEEPSPACE」でのスペシャルゲストとして招かれたKUNIYUKI BANDで一部披露されダンスミュージックファンの話題を集めている。我々日本人が世界へ自信を持って発信出来る数少ない真のクラブミュージックがここにある。
