アルバムタイトルがバンド名を冠している通り、彼等の集大成的な内容であり、今彼等の持ちうる全てのものを出し切った印象がある。
通常盤は限定より3曲多い。限定より通常を勧めたい。
オープニングからアグレッシヴなナンバーが続き、ラストはバラードの壊れていく世界。
全ての楽器パートのスキルは格段に向上しています。V系と思って舐めないでください。唯一無二のラウドロックを堪能していただきたい。

SlipknoTみたいなバンドが好きな僕にとってはStupidはまさにツボでした!
1stに比べて格段に音の厚みと演奏スキルがあがっていて、
プロデューサーにムックのミヤがついた事もあってか表現力の幅も広がってます。
前半はヘヴィ、中後半はジャンヌやシャムシェイドの様なややポップよりなハードロックといった感じでなかなか楽しめて満足のいく作品でした。
ミヤや同じくムックの逹瑯はコーラスでも数曲参加しているので両方のバンドが好きな人には夢の共演かもしれません(笑)

個人的なおすすめは
2.patchwork
3.Vermillion
4.stupid
5.バリケード
9.「少女A」
13.壊れていく世界
です。

今夏ドイツで行われる大規模なメタルフェス「Wacken Open Air」にも参加するそうで
楽しみであると同時にこれを機に多くのメタラーの心を掴んで帰ってきてほしいです。

バンド名をアルバム名にしたということですごく期待していました。
けれど正直なところ、少しギルガメッシュらしさが消えてしまったように思います。
色々な音楽の影響を受けて新たなものを吸収していこう、
という姿勢は感じられるのですが
もっとギルガメッシュらしさを全面に押し出しても良かったのでは？
と思わずにはいられませんでした。

ただ色々と模索しながら自分達の音楽の形を探している過程なのかな、
という意味では、かなり幅広い曲があって楽しめます。
良くも悪くもカッコいいです。
でもカッコイイだけで、「らしさ」がはっきり感じられないところが残念。
あと一歩、突き抜けて「これがギルガメッシュだ」といえるような音になれば
何も文句はありません。

長々と書きましたが、それなりにカッコいいです。
ただひたすら激しいだけ、というような曲もあるので
ずっと聞いていると少ししんどくなります。
