他アーティストのカヴァーと参加作品集です。
ゴスペラーズのオリジナル曲にお目に（お耳に）かかることは出来ませんが
とても質の高いものだと思います。
ちょっと５人それぞれの声の特徴が出すぎかなと思わなくもないですが
ここまでずらりと音色の違う楽曲を並べたCDというのも珍しいでしょう
そしてそれをモノにしている彼らが素晴らしい。
「うつぼかずら」の妖しさや「The Longest Time」の安定感、
「Stand By Me」なんて任せた！、と思って聴けます。
中でもお気に入りは「沈まぬ夕陽」。これまた酒井ワークスにやられました
詩と曲の雰囲気がuptempoながら非常に艶っぽいです。
次のオリジナルアルバムを楽しみに、このコンセプトアルバムの心意気に星５つです。

ココ何年かの、さまざまなコンピレーションの参加曲、ライブでもやってきたカバー曲、他アーティストのコラボ曲を一枚に集めたアルバムです。

彼ららしく、そして彼ららしくない部分も見せてくれます。
しっかりとした実力と、実績を兼ね備えた彼らだから聴かせてくれる音でしょう。

たっぷり17曲、飽きさせることの無いアルバムに仕上がっていると思います。

本当にバラエティ豊か。この一言に尽きるでしょう。
冒頭の「Stand By Me」から、アカペラグループがよくやる
カバー曲集を想像すると、2曲目以降見事に違う曲調が
並んでいきます。それぞれが別々のアルバムに収録されていたため、
統一されたコンセプトはありませんが、それが逆に彼らのシンガー
としての力量を際立たせる結果になっています。
オリジナルアルバムではないので、当初買うつもりはなかったのですが、
ラジオでオンエアされていた「スローバラード」を聴いて購入を決めました。
本作唯一のライブ音源ですが、村上てつや氏の絶唱です。
また、「Stand By Me」「The Longest Time」「Dance if You Want it」
など、カバー曲も秀逸。久保田利信のカバー「Dance〜」は、
テンポもよく特にお勧め。
