1977年を舞台に、自分自身の幼い日々を思い出させ（主人公の“太郎”のちょっとした言動が、ガキの頃のオレそのまんまでした…）、かつ「生きる」ことへのひたむきさを描いて胸を熱くさせてくれた、そして久々の佳作との出逢いに感謝したくなった『Little DJ 小さな恋の物語』。
劇中、神木くん―彼はもうすっかり“若手実力派”ですね…―演じる“太郎”が院内放送のDJでかける曲を中心に、佐藤直紀氏によるオリジナル音楽５曲も含めて構成したサントラ盤。
既製の収録曲は、クイーン「Somebody To Love（愛にすべてを）」、ドビュッシー作曲「亜麻色の髪の乙女」、シュガー・ベイブ「SHOW」、チューリップ「ブルー・スカイ」、サディスティック・ミカ・バンド「タイムマシンにおねがい」、フィンガー５「恋のダイヤル6700」、ヴィレッジ・シンガーズ「亜麻色の髪の乙女」、映画『ラストコンサート』サントラからメイン・テーマと「ステラに捧げるコンチェルト」（現在、このサントラは入手困難なので、この２曲は貴重です！）、ブラームス作曲「愛のワルツ」、そしてこれは“反則”、キャンディーズ「年下の男の子」（※「それが大事」は入ってません）。
あえて文句を言わせてもらうと、CDケースが安っぽい。ブックレットが（雰囲気はいいけど）手抜き。あと、４つの曲の前に（別トラックで）入る“太郎”のDJの分量が中途半端。入れるならもっと入れる、入れないなら入れないで、どちらかに徹した方がよかった。それから、小林克也さんのDJで育った世代としては、「年下の男の子」の前に、映画本編でも流れる、克也さんの曲紹介を入れてほしかったかな。
ということで☆は４つですが、いいサントラなのは間違いないです。

発売日前ですが、このサントラには映画同様で神木君演ずる「太郎」のＤＪ（ナレーション？）から進行構成されているようです。
