現状ではバンダイのガンプラで１／１００と言えば、その代表格はＭＧとなると思います。
しかし、ハイエンドユーザーにターゲットを絞ったＭＧと比べると廉価で必要十分なフォルムとディティール及びギミックを有したこの商品は、放送中の番組に出演するキャラクターのエントリーモデルとして考えると、正に１／１００の新フォーマットとして優等生的な物と言えると思います。
このキットはハイエンドユーザーの求める「ハイディティール」「徹底して突詰められた内部構造の再現」「高いプレイバリュー」等は持ち合わせていないかも知れません。
しかし、番組を見て興味を持ったユーザーに（ＭＧと比べて）安価で再現性の高いこのキットは、その「番組中のキャラクターを手にしたい」と言う要求に十分応える事の出来る物ではないでしょうか？
むしろ今、ＨＧの完成度の高さから「ただ大きいだけ」と言われてしまいがちな現状の方がＳＥＥＤから続く新１／１００シリーズの課題のように思われます。（ＨＧの完成度の高さは歓迎する所ですが）
それでも、このキットは「デザイナーによるディティールの追加」「ＨＧ以上に考慮された可動部」「組み易さと再現性を突詰めた分割」等、現状でもっとも（無印１／１００として）優秀なキットだと思われます。

発売日前日に購入しました。HGとは違う独自のアレンジがされており脚が太めです。カラーガイドを参考に塗装しようとしたら頭部のカラーが設定とちがいグレー部分が白のままでしたが自分は設定どおりに塗装しました。ビーム刃が新規のパーツですべて付属しているのがよいです。

ほぼ全ての点で平均点以上の物と言う感じかな?MGと比較する人もいますが、全く違うシリーズなのだから比較の対象にはならないと思います。 けれど、良いキットなのは確かですし購入を考えているならば、とりあえず買っておいても良いと思います。
