78年発表の八神純子のファースト。
89年発売の旧版(N24C-36)を持っていたので、迷っていたのですが、結局買い直しました。
旧版と比べて、明らかに音質の向上が見られます。とくに、ピアノとかドラムスとか。
ただし、もともとの録音のクオリティのせいか、高音域が少し痩せて感じられる箇所もありますが...
一番好きなのは、デビューシングルにもなった「思い出は美しすぎて」。数ある彼女の名曲の中でもマイベスト３に入ります。
「時の流れに」のようにファンキーな曲もありますが、全体としてバラード中心で、デビューアルバムにも関わらず、１曲も埋め草的な曲がなく、そのムラの無いクオリティの一貫した高さにはびっくりしてしまいます。
逆に、最初からほぼ「完成品」であったところに彼女のその後の問題があったのかも...
それにしても、もうデビュー３０年ですか。早いなぁ...
彼女のような大変優れたミュージシャンに、きちんとした活躍の場を与えられない日本の芸能／歌謡／TV界は、本当に情けないと、今回の再発を機につくづく感じました。
ちなみに、ジャケットが薄い材質の紙でちょっと安っぽい造りだったので、☆一つ減点です。（今回の紙ジャケ再発シリーズすべてに該当）

久々の再発しかも紙ジャケット、嬉しさ倍増ですわ。復刻盤オリジナルの「帯」は素敵だし、ライナーノーツ（？）もあって好感度大なんですが…　本作をタイムリーにレコードで購入した時中学生だったワシもはや40代。　視力もショボくれちまいまして、歌詞が小っこくてルーペが必要ですわい（号泣）　歌詞は1ページ1曲のブックレットにしてくれてたなら良かったんですが…　まあゼータク言っても仕方ないッスな！　再発を素直に喜んでおきます。　レコード会社さま、おーきにっ！

ディスコメイト時代のオリジナルアルバムが遂に紙ジャケ仕様で復刻です。
※今回の5タイトルは第一弾で、残りの4タイトルは12/19に発売予定です。

これは78年のデビュー盤で当時1年以上に渡ってランクインし、約33万枚を売上げる大ヒットになりました。
メジャーデビュー曲のタイトル曲を始め、真のデビュー曲「雨の日のひとりごと」のリテイクver.や
後に全米デビューアルバムの中で英詩でセルフカバーした「思い出の部屋より」など…
全体的にアコースティックな音に乗せたソフトで伸びのあるボーカルを堪能できます。
