といってもただのベストアルバムではありません。アシアで藤田恵美の"camomile"に火が付いたのは、香港のオーディオファンからでした。シンプルな編成で、とても良い音のアルバムがあり、オーデ
ィオチェックに最適というオーディオ誌での紹介からオーディオファンの間で広がって行き、しまい
に香港で藤田恵美は『Hi-Fi Queen』と呼ばれるほどになりました。
それでは、日本でもというわけで、スタッフが音響関係の評論家、雑誌などにプロモーションを始
め、やはり日本でも高い評価を得る事ができました。そしてそんな中からソニー(株)で音響設計一筋30年というオーディオ界のカリスマ金井 隆氏との出会いがありました。

今回のこのベストアルバムは過去3枚の"camomileシリーズ"から16曲をピックアップ。全曲リミックス、リマスタリングをSACD,マルチサラウンド(Hybrid)のフォーマットで実施。それをLe Couple時代から長い間藤田恵美を手がけているフリーのレコーディング・エンジニア阿部哲也氏とソニーの金井氏とが正に二人三脚で、品川のソニーにある金井氏の試聴室にて行っています。

特に藤田さんのファンではないのですが、”めざまし”の小倉さんのコメントを聞いて買ってみました。
いい感じだと思います。うたっているようにクリアで粒のはっきりした良い音であり、曲はすべてスタンダードで安心して、歌のうまさを聞くことに集中できます。
ある意味、上質な環境音楽であり、ゆったりと贅沢に流したいアルバムです。

藤田さんのファンで再生環境がある方は絶対お勧めです！
２ｃｈのSACDでも音が良いのはもちろんですが、５．１ｃｈだと音の定位や広がりがまた違って、歌声が一層柔らかな感じになります。
今までのSACDの中でも、こういうアプローチは初めての試みじゃないでしょうか?

もちろん、普通の高音質CDとしても聞けます。
藤田さんのファンじゃない方でも再生環境があって興味がある方は必聴です！

テレビでいい曲だなと思ってCDを買っても、音が悪くてがっかりすることが多い。「CDは活力が大事。音に命を吹き込むプロが音をなおし初めて売れるCDができる。」と何かの雑誌で読んだことがある。そうだろうか。
私は「活力」なんかどうでもいいから「うたばん」で聞こえるのと同じように素直な音でCDを作ってほしいと思う。このCDは品切れでショップに聞くと注文もすごく多いそうだ。渇望していた人たちがこぞって注文したからだろう。レコード会社の人たちはここから学ぶべきことが多いと思う。
この作品は借用して聞いた。CDっぽい癖が全くなく生き生きとした「人間の歌声」が聴こえてきた。素晴らしいと思った。
小倉さんの番組での生演奏も聴いた。この放送はモノラルで迫力不足だったが歌声はよかった。そしてこのCDの藤田さんの声は放送と同じように自然に聴こえる。もちろんテレビよりよい音だがそれはどうでもいい。テレビより悪くないことがすごいのだ。よく世に出たと思う。聞いてすぐに、久しぶりに"ポップスを注文"した。入手は正月になるらしいがかまわない。私より先に注文した人が先に入手するのだから。
どなたか英語が下手と書かれているが私は気にならなかった。仕事がら世界中でライブを聞いたが、どこの国のシンガーにも母国語の訛りは常にあるものだ。でもライブはいつも楽しめる。
このCDには香港のシンガーが作ったという一曲がある。絶句するほどの広東語訛りで歌われている。歌詞カードを読んで米語の発音を乗せてみたが乗らなかった。だから藤田さんは広東語訛りのまま歌ったのだろう。そこに気付かなければなんて下手な英語だと思うだろう。でも私は何年か前まで聞く機会の多かった香港の人たちの英語を思い出して懐かしかった。ほかの曲はきっと日本語訛りの英語なのだろう。でもこれでいいと思う。楽しめない人は少数いるだろう。でも私は日本人として、藤田さんをアジアの歌姫として誇れる歌手であり、作品だと思う。
藤田さん、頑張ってください。次はヒット曲をお待ちしています。
