年々進化を遂げているエプソンの複合機ですが、
この「ＰＭ-Ａ８４０」で、家庭用としては
一つの到達点に達したと考えてよいと思います。

その理由として、

1)値段の手ごろさ
2)機能の充実さ

私の現在使っているＡ９００は、
４年前のフラッグシップモデルでしたが、
価格は40,000円しました。

このＡ８４０は、
機能としてはＡ９００と同等、
性能(特にスピード)としてはＡ９００以上のものを、
備えています。

もっともな事のない限り、
上位機種であるＡ９４０やＴ９４０に
手を出す必要はありません。

このＡ８４０で十分です!!
まちがいなく「買い」だと思います。

お店に行って、値段が殆ど変わらない、キヤノンのMP610と比べてみました。

写真の品質：PM-A840の方が鮮やかに出てきれい。
文書の品質：コピーはMP610の方がクッキリ出てました。
速度：そんなに変わらない。

写真ならPM-A840、文書ならMP610で良さそうな感じです。

MP610と購入時の迷われる方が多いかと思いますが、雑誌等を大量にスキャンする場合にはA840がお薦めかもしれません。この2機種、性能自体にはそれほど差があるとは感じません。が、MP610は液晶画面+操作ボタンが上部パネルについているため、開閉時にちょっと重いのです。一枚二枚ならまだしも大量スキャンも場合にはA840の方がいいかもしれません。
ちょっと違った角度からのレビューでした。
