■STORY
ここはスコットランドの片田舎。脱獄囚が旅館に侵入し、英国伝統のスリラー映画として話が進むかと思いきや、
唐突な宇宙船の登場ですべてがうっちゃられてしまう。
中から出てきたのは高慢ちきなデビルガールだ。
「男お?。みんな喰っちまったよ。だからこうして地球に漁りに来たのさ」
おっと、地球の男、貞操の危機!でも、それならそれでOKという殿方たちもチラホラと。

■INTRODUCTION
特撮あり、サスペンスあり、ロマンスあり、爆笑ありと、なかなかよく出来たB級映画の佳作である。
もともと舞台劇だったようで、物語は旅館を中心に展開される。
そのためにデビルガールは宇宙船と旅館を徒歩で何往復もしなければならない。このあたりが爆笑ポイント。
「あっ、また来た!」と大きな声でツッコんであげましょう。
女王様マニアは必見。ほんと、高飛車なんだ、この火星女。(岸田裁月)

届いたＤＶＤのパッケージに「エド・ウッドを超えた云々・・・」と書かれていたが、演出力はエド・ウッドより上で、割かしきちんと撮られている。
本作に問題点があるとすれば、それは支離滅裂な脚本にある。演出家は当時のＢ級ＳＦ映画としては水準以上の仕事をしていると思う。馬鹿映画とはいえ、「プラン９・フロム・アウター・スペース」などと一緒にしてはいけない。
３〜４０年代をフランケンシュタインやドラキュラ、狼男などを主役に据えたゴシック・ホラー全盛期と考えるなら、５０年代はＳＦ映画・・・特に侵略ＳＦの時代だったと言える。「地球の静止する日」のような例外もあるが、この時代の代表的ＳＦといえばやはり、「遊星よりの物体Ｘ」「原子人間」「宇宙戦争」などであろう。
本作もそうした時代背景の下で作られた。
前記のエド・ウッドなどは自分が幼少期に夢中になって観たであろう、べラ・ルゴシやボリス・カーロフの映画に後ろ髪を引かれながら、時流に合わせた侵略ＳＦを作ろうとしていたとも言える（成功してはいないが）。
本作も成功作ではないが、イギリス映画特有の律儀さというか、きっちりした演出で話が進んで行く点は評価してもいいように思うのだが、どうだろうか？

ロケットとホテル の間を 行ったり 来たり

ただ それだけ


テレポートとか できんのかい!

と ツッコミを いれたくなる

悶絶SF超大作!

常識ある方には退屈極まりない映画。よしもと新喜劇に似た印象の構成は本作が舞台劇の映画化であるためであろう。火星からボンデージファッションに身を包みやって来たデビルガールは物語を支配する女王様。実際、物語が停滞したらデビルガールがやって来て話しを先に進めるパターンが連続します。ちゃんとした美術セットにちゃんとした撮影。丁寧な特殊撮影による凡庸なデザインの宇宙船。微妙に巨大な怪ロボット。SF映画ファンなら教養として観るべし。サブカルファンならネタとして観るべし。女王様ファンなら必見かもです。
