私の勘違いかも知れませんが、洋楽のカバーアルバムが出るという情報だったので日本の曲が入っていて面食らいました。

1.BATUCADA(GOLD MIX) with 川嶋可能
2.YOU CAN'T HURRY LOVE with 田島貴男
3.ROXANNE with マボロシ
4.世界はそれを愛と呼ぶんだぜ with □□□(クチロロ)
5.月の裏側で会いましょう wit FreeTEMPO

6.CLUB TROPICANA with YOUR SONG IS GOOD
7.BATUCADA -バトゥカーダ-
8.SOULS (Acoustic Live @ oden studio)

BATUCADAは微妙な評価のようですが、選曲は良いと思います。が2曲目(オリジナルはダイアナロス)を日本語で歌うと、違和感があります。
4曲目のオリジナルは暑苦しいほど情熱的な曲ですが、さわやかなアレンジでまるで違う曲のよう。
5曲目のオリジナルはオリジナル・ラヴの曲なのですがオリジナル自体の完成度が高いので、こう来たかぁ・・・ですね。
どう来たかと言うとFree TEMPO臭のするアコギ+ファンク+etc...嫌いではありませんが原曲のほうが好きです。＊free TEMPOは好きですよ。
3・6曲目は初めて聴いた曲ですが、いいですね。
8曲目はセルフカバーですが、この曲を入れるなら「イパネマの娘」あたりを歌って欲しかった。
なんだか、全体的に原曲を知らないほうが素直に聴けそうな感じです。

初のカバーアルバムだったので、デビュー当時からのファンとしてはどんなものになるのかなぁと思っていました。わたしは、このアルバムもとても気に入りました。特に、サンボマスターのカバーは意表をついたような感じでよかったです。8曲といわず、もっといろんな曲があるといいな・・・と思うところです☆
