前作の「Dolce」はストラディバリウス・デュランティの選曲だと千住さんは解説で述べていましたが、今回の「Air」はファンの選曲です。その為か、個人的には、Dolce（いたわる心）といった統一感があった前作の方が素晴らしく感じました。

千住さんのCDを初めて購入される方には、前作「Dolce」をお薦めしたいと思います。

ただ、お兄さんの千住明さん作曲の、雪の女王、風林火山、はデュランティがとてもよく鳴き響いていて素晴らしく、その他にも素晴らしい曲があるので、本CDも拝聴頂ければと思います。

次作はヴァイオリンコンチェルトと伺いました。先日、ドイツのドレスデンで千住さんのメンデルスゾーンのコンチェルトを拝聴しましたが、ピアノ伴奏曲と違った重厚さと深みがあり、素晴らしく感じました。ドイツ人にも好意的に床を踏みながらの拍手で迎えられていましたが、次作のコンチェルトにも大きく期待したいと思います。

私には好きな曲ばかり選ばれています。

特に、選曲にお兄さんの作曲された、NHK大河ドラマの「風林火山」の終わりで流れる、紀行テーマ曲（千住明）を目当てに購入します。
アンケートで、Ｇ線上のアリアが上位にくるとは思っていましたが、圧倒的な多数を取ってとのこと。納得できます。

ストラディヴァリウス「デュランティ」を手にされてから、たぶんこれが２枚目のアルバムだと思います。
名器での演奏ということと、演奏の熟練度の向上を期待して、今までのアルバムとかぶる曲目も多いのですが、聴くことにします。

千住は本ＣＤのノートに「ストラデイヴァリウスは（本来の）音を出すのに５年かかる」と記している。そして、彼女が愛器を手に入れてから、ついに５年が経ったのだ。

曲は、誰もが知る名曲と、昨今ＮＨＫの番組の主題曲等に使われた２曲が選ばれている。どれもが、じつに、リラックスして聴ける演奏だ。

確かに、この名器が覚醒したのだろう。千住真理子と共に。
