ERIKA＝沢尻エリカの、事実上の3作目。いわゆる「別に…」騒動で日本中の話題をさらってから、初めてのシングルである。流石に1位にならなくて良かった、という感じか。同じ事務所の北川景子・主演の深夜ドラマ「モップガール」の主題歌。「タイヨウのうた」でも分かるように、持って生まれた音感は無く、「機械で直して」このレベル。本人も十分承知しているだろうが、「歌手」としてはとても評価できない。

しかしながら、芝居の才能はご存じの通りだし、事務所も大手でバックアップ体制は万全。今回も楽曲は結構良いと思う。ZEPのグルーヴを多少は感じるギター・ロックで、世の中に背を向けたタイトルも「らしい」。

メイクが作りすぎだが、北川景子の芝居は割と可愛かった。「ホゲェ？！ホニャ！？」連発のコミカルなもので、変顔流行りとはいえ、あそこまでやらせたのは見事。それもあって、主題歌にも悪い印象はなかった。が… 散々考えた末、中古盤で済ますことにした。ま、あの性格は直らんだろうなぁ。一生、ああやって生きてくんだろうね。

女優としての「沢尻エリカ」さんは色々あったのであまり好きではありませんが・・・。

歌手としての「ERIKA」さんはいいと思います。
最初はプロモーションの仕方や、誰が見てもわかるような嘘の設定に「またこの人・・・」
と思っていましたがこの曲は好きです。

未来への希望を感じさせてくれたり、「目先の事に迷うな」と背中を押してくれたりします。

ドラマ「モップガール」にも合っていると思います。

ERIKAはいいと普通に思う、

凄い歌が上手いというわけ
じゃないけどそれなりに自
分は上手いと思う、

歌詞も心にきていいと思う、
