ザ・スターリンのファンならもう御存知でしょう!83年のGO GOスターリン・ツアーに参加した良次雄、中村達也がザ・スターリンを辞めて結成したのがこのTHE GODです。89年発表の本作ではファンキーなロッキンロールが炸裂!もちろん初CD化!ボーナス・トラックにEP『JET』+V.A『東京メトロポリタン倶楽部』より「若ダンナ」+未発表ライヴ@代々木チョコレート・シティ1989.3.21を収録!紙ジャケ仕様。画は「さかな」などでお馴染みの西脇一弘さんです(THE GODにはギターで参加)。

The GODとは原爆オナニーズ、THE STALINを渡り歩いたリョージオと中村達也により結成されたバンドでメンバーにはex.オキシドールのNONや、さかなの西脇も在籍していた。今作は原爆のTIN Drumからリリースされた「DODEMO IIZE」にプラスしてフジヤマからのEP『JET』、V.A『TOKYOメトロポリタン倶楽部』収録曲、89年の未発表ライヴで構成された後期GODの集大成的作品。じゃがたら、FOOLSに通じる不良が鳴らすグルーヴと同列。PUNK ROCKからスタートして辿り着いたファンクネス。(南友和)
