MGSシリーズをクリアしている人向けです。『MGS3』の6年後の話で操作もそれに近いです。携帯ゲーム機とは思えないほどよく動きます。たまに視点が見にくいときがありますが、このシリーズをやるくらいの腕があれば問題ないです。
兵士や武器を集めるという今までにない遊び方になっています。ストーリーはもちろん、2周目以降は収集する楽しみもあります。

前々から気にはなっていたので、PSP購入後、ベスト版のみを購入しました。
「〜+」は対戦がやりたい人向けで、不評もありますが。。。
（MGSのファン同士というよりも、不正改造バリバリのマニア同士の戦場になっているそうな）

「オプス」自体はメタルギアシリーズのストーリが好きな人には間違いなくオススメです。

ただ、
ディスク容量のせいか、
シーンは３Dムービーではなく、アメコミ風のイラストアニメが流れます。
無線の時の会話は、音声なしの文字会話だけです。
また、チームを組んでいくためか、持ち物は１人４つまでしか持てません（無論スネークも）。

いろいろ不便＆不満箇所っぽい要素もありますが、
表現方法＆ゲームコンセプトの違いと受け取れば文句はないかと。
ストーリーや画質＆モーションは十二分なので、数時間プレイすれば慣れると思います。

新要素の仲間集めでは、
倒された仲間は、そのまま消えてしまうのでファイヤーエンブレムっぽい緊張感もあると思います。


ストーリー自体は皆さんの言われている通り、もろに「３」スネークイーターの続きなので、
「３」をクリアーしている人向けです。
そうでないと完璧に置いてきぼりを喰らってしまい、訳が分からないだけになると思います。

メタルギアシリーズのストーリが好きな人は、
この「オプス」だけ、とりあえずプレイしてみてはいかがでしょう。

PSPでのMGSですが、あの独特の緊張感は携帯機になっても健在でした。
グラフィックもPS2などの過去作品に負けないくらいです。
ドラマの点では、今回は仲間を作ることができるということで、いままで単独潜入ばかりだったスネーク(主人公)の新しい一面を見ることができます。
本作ファンなら楽しめるゲームですが、
初心者の方は最初のほうは結構操作の点でかなりてこずると思います。
でもいったん物にしたら最初の頃のわだかまりはほとんどないくらい楽しめます。実際自分がそうでした。
また過去作品ともリンクしてるところもあるので、MGSの他作品もやってからやるとより楽しめると思います。
