どちらかといえばかなり地味目な曲がそろっています。初めて聴くとシンプルすぎるくらいに思えるかも知れない。それでも、それゆえに誤魔化しができないというか、地味で凡庸という評をはね除ける力量があります。

エレクトロニカと書いたけれど、デジ音をゴリゴリ盛り込んでいくのではなく、あくまでも丁寧にオルゴール/ベル系のような耳に優しい音を一音一音積み上げたらこうなりました、という感じがします。

これからの季節に聴けば(これを書いてる時点は晩秋です)、静かに降り積もる雪を暖かい部屋から窓辺で眺めているような幸福感が残ります。あるいは、夏の暑いさかりに聴いても、強烈な日差しをさけた日陰で、ほっとしながらコールドドリンクの氷が溶けていくのをみているような幸福感というか。静かに、優しくしみこむ音楽です。

これで平均年齢20歳ってのは・・・才能ってあるんだなぁと思いました。

これら全てのバンドをまぜてもオリジナリティ溢れる新人バンド…ＫＹＴＥ！

優しいロック？ロックというと語弊があるかもしれないですが、まるで水彩画のような音色で今年の冬２００７を彩ってくれること間違いなし♪外に持ち出して川べりを山道を夜の街を散歩してはいかが？

　大晦日の某格闘技イベントのオープニング映像で1曲目の"Sunlight"が使用されており、
これが非常に映像と合って素晴らしくドラマチックな仕上がりだったので、
ラックに眠っていたCDを引っ張りだして改めて聴いてみました。

　Sigur RosやRadioheadが引き合いに出されているようですが、
聴いてみると楽曲そのものよりも歌が重視されており、
先述の2バンドというよりもエレクトロニカアレンジのSnow Patrolといった感じです。
　エレクトロニカとして聴くにはアレンジや音の選び方などで少々物足りなさを感じますが、
メロディが美しく歌ものとして聴く分には素晴らしい出来かと思います。
