<ストーリー>
脳内出血の重症を負った科学者の命を救うため、想像もつかない治療法が試みられる。外科手術不可能と診断されたその患部に、手術担当員を細菌大に縮小して送りこみ、体の内側から手術しようというのだ。制限時間は1時間、果たして作戦は成功するのか?

　CG全盛の今こそリメイクして欲しい傑作。この作品に出てくる人体内の組織や臓器はグロテスクにせず、むしろファンタジックに再現している所は好感が持てますし、当時の特撮技術としては最高だったのでしょう。しかしテレビなどのCGによる人体の神秘に関する番組を見てしまうとどうしてもチープなセットに見えてしまいます。「インナー・スペース」はいかにもお子様向けになってしまっているので、ラクエル・ウエルチなみのグラマーな美人女優を使ってスピルバーグ監督もう一回どうです？

通常の手術では不可能な脳に障害を負った科学者を救うため、科学者グループをミクロ化し体内へ送り込み、
内側から手術を行うという'60年代ＳＦ映画。
発想の勝利！ そして、体の中は原題どおり「幻想的」で、意図的に美しく描かれたその世界観が素晴らしい。
まさしく「体の中には宇宙がある」といったところでしょうか。
映画では管制センターに、今チームが居るところがマークされた大きな人体の地図スクリーンがあって、
所員たちが大真面目に動いているシーンだけでも嬉しくなってしまう。
そんなＳＦマインドが凄く楽しい。

出演は、いかにも二枚目、スティーヴン・ボイト。
ヒロインのラクエル・ウェルチには、体の線が見えるウェットスーツを着せたうえで、
サービスカットもあって、微笑ましいかぎり。
「００７は二度死ぬ」のブロフェルド役ドナルド・プレゼンスは、得意の怪しい役。
この辺のキャスティングが、この頃の雰囲気があってうれしい。

子供の頃にテレビ放映で見て、大変な衝撃を受けました。
人が小さくなって（外科手術困難のため内側から手術をしに）
人体に入る？！
しかもタイムリミットがあり、過ぎると元に戻ってしまう？！
入る人たちも、それをサポートする医療チームも
ミスの許されない超難関作業の連続。
（スペースシャトル乗組員とNASAみたいな状態ですね）
子供心にドキドキワクワクで、何度か放映されたのはすべて見ました。

あれから30数年、最近になって是非とも手に入れたくなり購入、
見たことがないという主人にプレゼントして、一緒に見ました。
'60年代の映画とは思えないほどの映像の斬新さ、丁寧さに驚愕。
（本当に体の中ってこうなのかも、と思えます。昔の映画にありがちな
「衣装･髪型が当時よね〜（苦笑）」的なことも感じませんでした）
荒唐無稽な設定なのに、ディテールに凝っているためか、
ツッコミ体質の私でも興ざめすることなくのめり込みました。
主人も興奮しており、感謝されました。今では我が家の宝物です。
