ブンブンサテライツはデビュー時からシーンへの強烈なアンチテーゼを感じる
音作りをしてると思われ、特に「UMBRA」の独自性、インパクトは今でも衝撃的であり
個人的にはあれがブンブンの最高傑作のひとつであると思う。

そこからさらに複雑さを発展させた「PHOTON」を経て、複雑な音像とダイナミックな
ビートが混ざりあった「FULL OF ELEVATING PLEASURES」に繋がった。
そして去年の「ON」だ。あの作品はまた、個人的にブンブンの最高傑作の一つだと思う。
よりシンプルに研ぎ澄まされたビートとメロディ、そしてアグレッシブな勢いに満ちた
去年の最高のロックアルバムの一つであったと思う。

そして今年の「EXPOSED」だ。去年からまたも１年ちょいで出された今回の作品は
はっきりいってしまうと今までで一番インパクト、という面では低い。
あと、隙間、緩急が欠けており正直ゴリ押し感は否めない。

しかしそれでもブンブンサテライツは基本的なサウンドワークが高いので
クオリティが低いのか？と問われれば私は高いと答えるだろう。
「EASY ACTION」という曲は流れるような歌い回しが気持ち良いし、
「WHAT〜」に関してはまるで王道のロックをなぞったような堂々とした曲である。
「MORNING AFTER」に関しては、もう完全にクラブ・ミュージックである。
この様にバラエティにとんだ仕上がりになっており、
「ブンブンであったからこそ」のクオリティには仕上がっていると思う。

ただ残念ながら「ブンブンだからこそ」という部分は薄くなってしまった。
今考えれば「ON」で留まっていた方が良かったのかも？
ただやっぱりラジカセのプレイボタンを押すとのってしまうのも事実なのだ。
これは贅沢な悩み、なのだろうか？

前作、前々作以上にロックで分かり易いです。キャッチーな歌モノに徹しています。
さすがブンブン！といったインパクトには欠けますが、
「俺達、こういう頭良さげな曲が本職なんだゼ？」と変に凝った曲を挟まなかったのが実に素晴らしいです。
些細なプライドからシンプルに徹しきれない人って多いですから。。
昔からのファンからすると日和ったと思ってしまうかもしれませんが、間違いなくライブは盛り上がることでしょう。

みなさんのレビュー、なるほどです。期待していたほどではなかったです。
とは言ってもフツウにカッコいいし、ブンブンの代わりを探してもいないですからね。
まあ…帯シールにある‘考えるな、感じろ。'って感じですね!
