ポップでキャッチーではあるけど、なんかどっかで聴いたようなメロディで、繰り返し聴こうという気にはなりませんねえ。美しい女性が歌う美しい女性のための曲、という感じで共感もわかないし感動もなし。曲名も笑止。「私は美しい人魚よ」なんて言われてもねえ・・・右から左へ流れていくには心地いい曲かもしれませんが。
歌は間違いなく上手いのにそれを生かす曲・ライターに恵まれていない、最近の彼女の曲を聴くとそんな気がします。聴き手のハートに訴えてくる感情豊かな楽曲を提供してあげて欲しい。バラードという意味ではなく。
個人的にファンでもある押尾氏のギターがどう絡むかも楽しみだったのですが、非常に勿体ない使われ方をしていますねえ・・・

今作でも爽やかな歌声を聴かせてくれます。しっとりとしたバラードもいいですけどこんな曲を歌っても素敵です。付属のDVDにはファーストライブより3曲収録されていますが、Urban MermaidのPVが収録されていないのが残念です。次のアルバムの付属DVDに収録するつもりなのかもしれませんね♪楽しみです。伊藤由奈のファンならこのDVD付きを買ったほうがいいですよ!質の低い楽曲をやたら連発してファンから金をむしり取る大手レコード会社に食傷ぎみの人!たまにはこういうのを聴いて自分を癒やしてみて下さい。都会の喧騒に疲れぎみの女性達への応援歌らしいですよ(^O^)/ファンなら迷わず買いです。

個人的な意見ですが、最高です。歌はかなり爽やかで、朝聞くとかなり気分が良くなります。(人それぞれだと思いますが。)
付録のLiveも見物ですよ。とにかくおすすめです!!
