タイトルを見てピンときたあなたはかなりのカシオ通です。
この機種は３０年近く前頃から販売されている「スタンダードデジタルの樹脂バンドモデル」です。発売当初は「F-14-1A」という時分のみ表示（ボタン操作で月日も表示）が基本でした。その後少しづつ派生していきこの「F-84W-1」はライト、ストップウォッチ、生活防水そして軽量とバランスのとれた商品で非常に売れました。（同時期に「ＦＳ-10（ペラ）」という薄型デジタルが大ヒットしました。）
因みに、今回の「84Ｗ」にように機種名に”Ｗ”が付いていると防水機能（生活防水）あり、ということです。同様に「Ｗｘｘ」は５気圧防水で「ＤＷｘｘ」は１０〜２０気圧防水となります。
そして、機種名の最後の数字（例えばＦ-84Ｗ-1の”１”など）は文字盤の色を表しています。
１黒、２青、３緑、４赤、５茶、６パープル？、７白、８グレー、９金（黄）　です。(確か・・）
ネットショッピングしていて文字盤の色が分かりにくい時、参考にしてください。
今回は懐かしかったので３機種まとめて購入しました。

先日、シャツの胸ポケットに入れたままドラム式洗濯機で洗濯してしまいました。
気がついたのはもちろん洗濯終了後にふたを開けた時です。「しまった！」と思って時計を見ると何も無かったように動いています。文字盤に浸水もありませんでした。
安価な時計なので一瞬は「また買えばいいや」とも思いましたが、あらためてカシオウォッチの品質の良さを実感しました。
軽い時計なので仕事の自動車運転の時に重宝しています。

この時計を２機使い続けました。最初は２５００円くらいだったと思います。軽いし１００分の１秒ストップウォッチも付いてるしアラームもあるしバックライトもあるという、普通に使うには十分の機能です。電池の持ちもいいです。何年か使うとベルトが切れてきますが、５００円位の安いベルトに交換し使い続けていました。唯一の問題点と言えば、側面にあるスイッチが小さくて操作しにくい事と何年もするとスイッチの動きが悪くなってなかなか反応しなくなる事くらいです。でも値段が安いのでほんとに気軽に使えます。最近は９８０円で買えるようなので、サブ機として１本持っていても損はしないと思います。
