これほどまでに、新しい「命」が注ぎ込まれたベスト盤が日本のロック界にあっただろうか！レコード盤で甲斐バンドの「唄」「サウンド」を、スピーカー越しに聞いていた世代にとって、このベスト盤は甲斐バンドのNEWアルバムと言っても過言ではない程の完成度だと思う。リミックスバージョンの計13曲は、甲斐のボーカルの艶やかさ、コーラスワークの緻密さに驚かされるばかりでなく、今までレコードでは気が付かなかった楽器の存在が聴き取れる楽曲も。ボーカルやドラムのエコー、ベースラインなど、とにかく聴きどころが満載。音の厚み、広がり。僕達はこんな甲斐バンドのサウンドを待っていたんだ。とにかく、永らく甲斐バンドから遠ざかっていた人に、ぜひ聴いていただきたい必聴盤。ありがとう、EMIジャパン！

　「またベスト？」、「しかもストーリー２、って何？」、「ジャケットは昔のままだし…。

　すんません、侮ってました！このアルバムに収録された初期から中期にかけての楽曲のリミックスバージョンはスゴ過ぎます！該当曲のオリジナルバージョンがスカスカに聴こえちゃうくらいの仕上がりです。

　当然、録音された当時にも存在していたはずの音が鮮明に浮き上がって来ただけといえばそうなんだけど、どうしてあの当時にこの音で出すことができなかったんだろう？エンジニアの腕（伊藤猛さんのはずなので間違いはないと思うし）ではないはずだから、やはり機材的な部分の限界だったってことかな？

　あ、リミックスバージョン以外はすべてボブ・クリアマウンテンのミックスバージョンです。そう考えると実にわかりやすい名ベストなのかもしれません。

　「また、ベストなの？」と思わず聴いてみて下さい。全然音が違う！

甲斐ファンであり続けて、本当に良かった!
甲斐バンドのサウンドってこんなに凄かったのか!?それを強烈に感じる事が出来るアルバムです。
聞き慣れた曲、メジャー過ぎる曲、音質が古く感じる曲等、正直ウンザリするほど出た甲斐バンドのベスト盤ですが、これは全然違います!これらの名曲を初めて聞いて時の感動を、今改めて感じる事が出来ます!
リミックスで蘇えったる名曲の数々は、普遍の輝きを持っていました。このバンドに太刀打ち出来るバンドはいないと確信出来ます!
こんな凄い事が可能なら、オリジナルアルバム全てリミックスしてほしいです!
