2004年にカプコンから発売されたTony Hawk's Pro Skater 2003以来、久々に発売される日本語版です。
Xbox360では2作目となる今作ですが、海外で発売された1作目は既存の前世代機種版をベタ移植しただけでしたので、実質的に初めてこのハードの性能を活かした内容となっています。
グラフィックはリアルさを増し、マップは今までのステージ制から、1つの大きな街へと進化しました。
とはいえ、かつてのステージ制の良さも引き継ぎ、それぞれ特徴のあるエリアが組み合わさった街となっています。(スケートパーク、ショップ街、学校、工場、遊園地など)
ゲーム内には実在のプロスケーターが多数登場し、各キャラのモーションキャプチャーも担当していますのでモーションはリアルです。
一方、このシリーズの1つの特徴として、非リアルである事が挙げられます。
例えば、実際にはあり得ないような大ジャンプをしたり、電線の上を滑ってみたり、等々。
つまり、実際のスケボーをリアルにシミュレートしたという感じではないので、その辺では好みが別れるかもしれません。
ただ、そういったゲーム性も含めて、トニーホーク本人が開発に関わっていますので、スケボー自体が持つ格好良さはしっかりアピールしたゲームになっているのも、このシリーズの特徴です。
スケボー自体をあまり知らない、あるいは興味も無い、という方でも、一種のスポーツアクションゲームとして楽しめる内容だと思います。
オフラインでは、マップの至る所に様々なチャレンジが用意されていて、それらのゴールも難易度別に3種類用意されています。
ですので、自分の実力に合わせてゲームを進められ、上手くなって来たらさらに上の難易度に挑戦、という感じで、難しいけどやり込んでしまうという楽しさがあります。
オンラインでは、ゲームタイプを選んで対戦する事はもちろん、ただ自由にマップを滑るだけも可能です。
トリック(技)を見せ合うも良し、特定の場所の攻略法を実際に見せて教えてもらうのも良し。
今作はXbox360版とPS3版が同時発売されますが、オンラインが出来るのはXbox360版だけですので、どちらかを選べる環境にある方にはXbox360版をお勧めします。

スケボーの楽しさが存分に詰め込まれた会心作です!海外では新作トニホPGが発売されていますが、ハッキリ言って新作よりもこちらのほうが断然面白いですよ! スケーターの方は勿論、スケボーに全く興味が無いかたも存分に楽しめる内容です!浮遊感が最高。操作性も良く、プレイ中はアドレナリン出まくりです。ボリュームもかなりあるので、オフライン専用の方、ご心配なく。やりごたえ十分です!オン環境あればさらに良い!スケボーゲーム未体験の方もこのソフトは一度プレイすることをお勧めします!買って損なしです!

いくつかのレビューを見てスケボーゲームにも挑戦してみっかと思ったらヘタこきました。

はっきり言ってスケボー初心者にはかなり酷かも。その難しさを楽しいととるか、キツイととるかで分かれるでしょう。自分は後者でした。


ただ、街を自由にスケボーで走り回る爽快感は高く、街もよく造りこまれていてストリートな気分に浸れます。警官がサガットみたく眼帯を巻いていたのには驚きよりも笑いが先に来ました。

根気のある人にはオススメです。
