手強いシューティングとして名を馳せた「式神の城」。３がアーケードで稼働していたのは約二年前のことでしょうか。
式神の城自体は非常に難易度が高いながらも、独特の中毒性が有ってプレイヤーを逃さないゲームであるということを知っていたので「ゲームセンターで意味のない出費をするよりも移植を待ってがっつり遊んだ方が得だから」と自分に強く言い聞かせ、結局一回も遊ばなかった３…。ここまで長かったです、本当に。


今作では、光太郎・ふみこ・日向・サスケに加え、新キャラとして エミリオ・バトゥ・金美姫・霧島零香・伊勢薙乃・ふみこの爺やが参戦するようです。ちなみに小夜はザサエさんと融合してしまったそうなので(笑)今回は光太郎の式神として登場です。
一部のキャラは前作に出ていたキャラの代わりとして登場するので「使い手がいなくなった」ということは軽減されそうです(金美姫は金大正、薙乃はニーギの代役)。

そして式神ファンなら必ず注目する「ストーリー」。
前作は光太郎とサスケの掛け合いが最高でしたが、今作では１人プレイ時でも２人のキャラを交代しながら進められるという「Dramatic change mode」が追加されました。
これによって手軽に各キャラの会話を見ることが出来るようになったのは非常に嬉しいです。今作も光太郎とサスケの会話は期待させてもらいます(笑)。


目新しい追加要素は他にHTMAXぐらいで、前作から目立っている点などは特にありませんが、それでもおもしろい作品であることは間違いないでしょう。
待ち遠しかった３、がっつり遊ばせてもらいますよ。

システムこそいつもの式神の城です。

ただ今回はタイトーがスクエニに食われたりして開発は韓国のメーカーが主体で行われました。

完成したのは他社シューティングのインスパイヤの塊。

特にステージ１〜３のくだり、中ボスからの高速スクロール、ボスのやられ方やボスの攻撃パターンまで斑鳩を参考にした点が多々あり。

それもあってアーケードでは稼働日からほとんど人がつかず放置。

まあキャラゲーとしてシューティング好き以外から受けているタイトルなので評価は基本いいでしょうがいろいろなシューティングやっている人は腹が立つかも。

自分はタイトー好きなのでタイトーに関連した新キャラ目当てで買ったので後悔は…そこまでしてません。

丁度ゲームキューブに斑鳩(プレミア価格になってますが)出ていますしやってみると面白いかも。

グラフィックも微妙…まあシューティングの会社にここを突っ込むのも酷ですが…カオスフィールドよりは上かなぁ。
