内容紹介

日本のロックシーンにおいて、ミュージシャンからリスナーまで最も広く愛されるアーティストの一人である奥田民生がロックバンド「ユニコーン」のボーカリストとしてデビューしたのが、1987年10月21日。人気絶頂期だったユニコーンを1993年に解散後、奥田民生は1994年にソロ活動を開始。ユニコーンでのデビュー以来20周年を迎えた今年1月に奥田民生は初のソロベスト盤『記念ライダー』を発売し、続けて2月には10年ぶりに「井上陽水奥田民生」としてのアルバムをリリースするなど話題をふりまきました。また、奥田民生のみならず、ユニコーンの元メンバーはそれぞれに独自の音楽活動を続けています。そんなユニコーンや奥田民生をリスペクトしてくれる豪華アーティスト陣によるトリビュート盤の発売が決定し、『ユニコーン・トリビュート』、『奥田民生・カバーズ』の2枚が同時発売となります。ご期待下さい!

　最近のＣＤ発売事情には疎かったんですが、たまたま車の中でラジオを聴いてたら、木村カエラ「マシマロ」、スピッツ「さすらい」が流れていてＥ感じだったので、即購入。

　２枚組１９曲収録の中で、個人的にお気に入りは上記の２曲と、ＧＬＡＹ「野ばら」、中幸介「手紙」、ＨＡＬＣＡＬＩ「愛のために」です。

　知らなかった曲もあるので、改めてオリジナル（奥田民生ヴァージョン）も聴いてみたくなりました。

同時発売の「ユニコーン　トリビュート」もそうなのですが、
とにかく参加アーテイストの顔ぶれが凄いです！
ミュージシャンとしてリスペクトされてるのはもちろん、民生さんって人望もあるんだなぁ。
人間的にも魅力のある人なんだというのがわかります。

このアルバムでいちばんほめるべき点は曲の並べ方です。
特にDISC１もゆるやかな気持ちのいい流れといったら！！
斉藤和義　→　スピッツ　→　ゴーイング　→　サンボあたりの素晴らしい清涼感。
DISC1とDISC2はまったくカラーの違う作品になっていて、
それぞれ独立しても楽しめるんじゃないでしょうか。

このアルバムでいちばんがんばったのは「愛のために」のハルカリかも。
いい意味で壊してくれて、
しかも彼女たちのかわいらしさがしっかり生きてる。

チャットモンチーに「息子」を歌わせたのだけは違うだろーって思ったけど、
他は納得の選曲。
聴く前はGLAYと中孝介さんに一抹の不安を抱えてたんだけど、
どちらも意外なほどハマっててちょっとびっくりですよ（笑）

けど、歌詞カードに関しては残念。
参加アーティストのプロフィールや
彼らの奥田民生に対する思いの様なものをぜひ載せてほしかった。
そのへんの配慮がほしかったので☆はマイナスひとつで。

メリハリのある展開で聴かせるB-DASH
「いいうた」としての面をクローズアップしたGLAY
実はめちゃめちゃ歌が上手いサンボマスター
Disk2は
自分達のライブでもやってほしいウルフルズ
よくわかってる選曲がナイスなSparksGOGO
一番よく染まってる?井上陽水

がおすすめです。
