内容紹介

日本のロックシーンにおいて、ミュージシャンからリスナーまで最も広く愛されるアーティストの一人である奥田民生がロックバンド「ユニコーン」のボーカリストとしてデビューしたのが、1987年10月21日。人気絶頂期だったユニコーンを1993年に解散後、奥田民生は1994年にソロ活動を開始。ユニコーンでのデビュー以来20周年を迎えた今年1月に奥田民生は初のソロベスト盤『記念ライダー』を発売し、続けて2月には10年ぶりに「井上陽水奥田民生」としてのアルバムをリリースするなど話題をふりまきました。また、奥田民生のみならず、ユニコーンの元メンバーはそれぞれに独自の音楽活動を続けています。そんなユニコーンや奥田民生をリスペクトしてくれる豪華アーティスト陣によるトリビュート盤の発売が決定し、『ユニコーン・トリビュート』、『奥田民生・カバーズ』の2枚が同時発売となります。ご期待下さい!

高校のときからめっちゃファンでした！
あまりにも聞いていたため一番初めに耳にしたときは奥田民生の声じゃないので
違和感があるのだけど、いろんなアーティストのアレンジでなんだか懐かしいような新鮮なようなとっても楽しく聞いてます。
アーティストもユニコーンファン世代なら好きなアーティストも多くて買って楽しめると思います。なんか元気もらいました。

ユニコーンのコピーバンドをやっていたほどのユニコーン好きなので
まずはこの企画だけで飛びついてしまいました。
トリビュートモノは非常に原曲に近いものと、完全に壊されてしまうものが
混在しがちで、最終的には”？”な出来になることが多いのですが、
このアルバムは普通に良いアルバムになっていました。
参加アーティストの質が高く、安心して聞けましたが、これもユニコーン
の楽曲の良さがあればこそだと思います。
しかしながら、聞き終えた後にオリジナル音源が聴きたくなってしまうのは
自分だけでしょうか？

民生さんの人望、カリスマ性を感じずにはいられないメンツ。
みなさんいい仕事してます。アレンジにニヤリとさせられる一方で、
改めて原曲のすばらしさを実感することもできました。
それだけに他レビューにもある通り、歌詞カードの内容の寂しさが悔やまれます。
とはいえこれはオススメです。これをきっかけに自分のような直撃世代でない人達にも
聴いてもらって、ユニコーン好き、民生好きの底辺がもっと広がってほしいです。
