アーティストについて

ゲーム主題歌「睡蓮ーあまねく花ー」で2005年9月にデビューし、TVアニメ『To Heart2』EDテーマ「トモシビ」、TVアニメ『うたわれるもの』OPテーマ「夢想歌」などを担当。
“Suara”とはインドネシア語で“声”を意味する。

Suaraにはストリングスが似合う。それも出来ればクラシックばりに重厚で肉厚な奴だ。その片鱗は既に「光の季節」で見せてはいた。だが、大久保薫とのタッグはSuaraにしては珍しいものだったし、その次のシングル「一番星」を聞いて、私の期待するようなSuaraは当分聴けないんだろな、と思った。

そして「BLUE」を聞いてみた。大間違いだった。

今度の曲はかなりの人数のストリングスが入るらしい、とは聞いていた。だが、ここまでに壮大でぶ厚いオーケストラを導入するなんて思っても居なかった。しかも音の絞り方がハンパじゃない。普通アニソンもといJポップと言うものはある程度ウケる事を想定して、音に保険要素を入れてしまうもんだ。実際今までのSuara曲はそんな節が偶に見え隠れしていた。だが今作「BLUE」はそんな野暮な事はせず、オーケストラとしての迫力をストレートに見せる事で、今まで完全には引き出されなかった感の有ったSuaraの歌声の一面を引き出す事に成功している。もう、GJの一言。個人的には「夢想歌」を聞いた瞬間から感じていた、「Suaraならもっとやれる」という実感を遂に実現してくれた感じ。GJ、藤間。

もう1曲の「蕾-blue dreams-」は逆にストリングスを交えたSuaraが至れるポップとの境目を鮮やかに示している。これも藤間GJ、としか言えない。元々センスには定評の有る衣笠のメロディが、しっかり活きている。

この路線で是非アルバムも作って欲しい。個人的には音を絞りに絞った時間軸系の曲とかやって欲しい。多分もっと凄い曲になるはずだ。
