関西ではずっと注目株であった彼女の満を持してのメジャーデビューアルバム。
石井彰さんの、彼女をうまく捉えたプロデュースが冴えるカラフルな作品。
取り上げている曲も多ジャンルに渡り、はじめから終わりまで飽きることなく聞けます。
それでいてトータルなストーリーがあり、楽曲ごとの景色は移ろいゆくという大変すばらしい作品です。
さらにリシャールガリアーノと彼の弦楽７重奏団が作品をさらに豪華な物にしています。

2004年、第５回神戸ジャズ・ヴォーカル・クイーン・コンテストでグランプリを受賞したヴォーカリスト、北浪良佳さんのメジャー・デビュー・アルバム。収録曲はスタンダードやオペラ、武満徹作品など全12曲。1曲目は愛しい人との別れを歌った「I Wish You Love」。デビュー・アルバムの冒頭でいきなり「Goodbye〜」と歌いはじめるという意表をついた構成が面白い。最初「さようなら」とこの歌詞をオープニングへ持ってきたことにやや違和感をおぼえたが、ひとくちに「さようなら」と言っても様々な別れがあることを彼女のヴォーカルは教えてくれた。別れた人に向ける優しい眼差し。悲しみを乗り越え新たなステージの扉を開けようとする力強く前向きな意志。こういったものが歌声からもよく伝わり、やはりオープニングはこの曲をおいて他にはないと思った。現代最高峰のアコーディオン奏者、リシャ−ル・ガリア−ノ率いる七重奏団の演奏も聴きどころ。「燃える秋」「Amapola」でハスキー・ヴォイスと美しく溶け合い見事な出来ばえ。

確か学校でｵﾍﾟﾗ等も本格的に学んでいたという期待の逸材であり
正統的な声楽の力量もあってJAZZYなｸﾞﾙｰｳﾞもあるという稀有の新星。
尚且つﾒｼﾞｬｰ女性誌のﾓﾃﾞﾙとして、その美貌を披露していたというから
注目されない訳が無い。JAZZ CLUB、LIVE HOUSEでの人気も相当なもので、
飾らない人柄もあるのだろうが、支持者は数多いと聞く。
たくさんの美貌の女性がﾃﾞﾋﾞｭｰしては消えていくのが世の常ではあるが
この人には末永く歌い続けていってほしいと思う。
