亀田誠治プロデュースに我慢が出来ない。EVER BLUE以降は明らかに音が悪い。
前作よりは持ち直した印象だがボーカルの高音域がきつく、楽器の音がひどく軽い。
ただ1曲目の音はまだ良いほうなので試聴での印象はいいかもしれない。
楽曲自体は非常に良い。どれも一級品だと思う。革新的ではないがSOPHIAらしい哀愁がとてもよくあらわれている。beautifulを思い出す。かわいらしさを出すのが難しくなった今、この方向性はありだと思う。
ただ楽器隊に力が感じられない。もちろん亀田誠治プロデュースによる音のせいもあるが、それだけではないと感じる。バンド音楽としてはかなり微妙である。
そして、松岡のEVER BLUE以降の歌い方は相変わらず気になる。とても力強さを感じるところもあり、よくなった部分もあるのだが、怒哀の表現にに喜楽が混じっているように聞こえるときがある。反面、喜楽の表現は、良くいえば豊かに、悪く言えば大げさになったかもしれない。静と動でいえば動のみに偏りすぎているような気がする。ALIVE、マテリアルでの松岡は静の使い方が非常に上手かったのだが。

1曲目の歌い出しを聴いて「ああ，買ってよかった」と実感しました。SOPHIAは裏切りません！
楽器隊の奏でるリズムや旋律に酔いしれる曲もあれば，ライブでみんなで手拍子しながら歌いたくなる曲もあり，また，歌詞をじっくりかみしめて聴きたい曲もあり･･･と本当に聴きどころ満載といった感じのアルバムです。
松岡さんが，その真っすぐに伸びる勢いある声やきれいなファルセットで伝えてくれる言葉は，確かに「２００７」という時代を映し出し，聴く人の心に小さな，或いは大きな波紋を投げかけてくれる・・・そんな気がします。

曲は本当に良いです。
が、リピートしたいという気持ちがあまり起こりません。
前作は繰り返して聴いても気持ち良く、飽きなかっただけに、少し残念です。
そろそろセルフプロデュースに戻してはどうかと思います。
