4.0 out of 5 stars ヴァントのブルックナーは一概には良いとは言えない, 2008/5/13
ブルックナーの、４・５・７・８・９番をベルリンフィルと録音したヴァント氏。
北ドイツ放送響との録音が多いのは、５番以外の録音の出来栄えで分かります。
評論家はブルックナーはヴァントで決まりのような評価をしていますが、
一概に名演ばかりとも言えず、４番は星４つ、５番は星５つ、７番は４つ、８番は３つ、
９番にいたっては２つです。
特に９番は駄作としかいえないのです。
この７番は、ブロムシテット＆ドレスデンに親しんできた私にとってはイマイチ・・・

ブルックナーで最も有名な７番、さらにヴァントとベルリンフィルという最高の組み合わせでの立派な演奏です。
ただ、５番と同様に音楽が「理屈」、「音の構造美」及び「孤高の精神性」で締め固められており、「音楽の流れ」や「うた」にフタがされたように感じました。ドホナーニ／クリーヴランド管、ヨッフム／ドレスデン国立管、ブロムシュテット／ライプツィヒ・ゲヴァントハウス管といった演奏に慣れてしまった耳には、ちょっと堅苦しさと息苦しさを感じました。
また、珍しくベルリンフィルに荒っぽさが随所に出ており、その点も気になりました。

恍惚な音楽。目を閉じて聴いていると、体がほてってきます。
風邪で熱のあるときに聴くとヤバいかもしれません。
ベルリンフィル×ヴァントという、鉄壁の組み合わせをいい意味で裏切る、広がる音の空間。
脳内麻薬的な一品です。
