アコギで弾き語りがYUIでそれ以外はダメだという意見が多いですね。特に昔の曲に固執したデビュー当時からのファンに多い意見です。確かに1stアルバムの世界観は素晴らしいです。
ただ僕もデビュー時からのファンでYUIの曲はすべて聴いていますが、そういった考えはもっていません。むしろ一つのスタイルにとどまることなく、常に新しい音楽を模索していると、良い印象をもってます。そもそもアコギで弾き語りの曲しか歌えないアーティストならすぐに飽きられて終わりです。才能のあるトップアーティストを見れば、例外なく幅広い音楽性をもった人たちではないでしょうか？？

今回の曲に関しても、ストリングスを大胆に入れたり、新たなサウンドを試みているが、YUIの象徴であるギター中心の音作りは健在だし、歌詞も映画の書き下ろしではあるが、そこに彼女の想いを痛いくらいに感じることができます。

いつもＹＵＩの新曲がでるたびに新しい発見を感じています。自分もデビュー時からのファンですが不満に感じたことはない。そもそも、あぐらをかいてアコースティックギター弾いている姿がインパクトあったのでファンはそれを求めてる感じがしているけど、それはＹＵＩの一部分にすぎない。ＹＵＩというアーティストはその程度なのでしょうか？とてもよい素質がありいろんな一面があると感じているのは私だけ？原点も大事だが、変化することも大事と強く感じた作品がこのLOVE＆TRUTHです。音楽として、ロックな曲やアコースティックな曲があることで飽きてこないし、ずっとＹＵＩの作品を聴いていられます。これからも、いろんな心に響く曲を世の中に送りこんでもらいたいですね。応援しているので、リラックス＆マイペースでがんばってほしいです。


追伸　　CAN'T BUY MY LOVEの一曲目のHow crazyにみなさんは何を感じたのしょう。

9月29日公開予定の映画「クローズド・ノート」の主題歌です。歌詞に「”あいのうた”を聴かせてよ　その横顔　その先に　あなたが今　見つめてる　ひとがいるとわかっても　翼をくださいと　信じて歌うように　アタシだって誓うよ　過去も全部　受け入れるって決めた」というサビの部分が映画の内容にすごく合っているなと思いました。YUIさん自身も自分の過去の体験を思い出しながら、この曲を作ったのではないかと思います。曲調も切ない哀しいバラードで秋に聴くのにはピッタリの曲です。カップリングのJAMという曲もロック調でなかなか良いです。これまでのYUIさんの作品にはない新たな一面が見れる曲ということで星５つにしました。これからのYUIさんにますます期待できます。頑張って下さい！
